Publisher's summary

Her father has let her down her whole life. Her brother betrayed her in the worst way possible. And her past relationship experiences with men have been less than great. Now Lyla is pouring all her energy into her band, Vintage. So when they receive an offer to sign with TMS Records, it seems that things are finally turning around. The last thing that Lyla wants is a man getting in the way. Tom Carter loves women. More accurately, Tom enjoys screwing lots of women. After Vintage's manager breaks her leg skiing, Tom steps in as tour manager, and Lyla finds herself on tour with the man-whore of rock. Put one perpetually horny Tom and one sex-resistant Lyla together, and it equals a recipe for disaster. Or so you'd think. But a friendship is formed - a closeness neither of them expected. Will the sex storm that is Tom Carter finally find himself tamed by the rock chick with a hardened heart?

I WAS SUCKED IN AS ALL THE PASSION & PAIN UNFOLDED

If you've listened to the previous books then you know Tom is the sexy man-whore and Bassist in the Band TMS with a carefree love em and leave em attitude and a bad reputation, that is until someone's life is threatened and he makes a pact with God. Lyla's well aware of Tom's reputation and she's resisted him twice before but when they have to go on tour together the sizzling chemistry, his raw sex appeal and his persistent Alpha magnetism makes her strike a bargain that's going to bring pleasure, joy and hot hot sex but heartache and pain is around the corner.

Two characters battling Demons from their pasts struggling to find happiness who are thrown together makes a very volatile mix and a powerful and enjoyable listen as they play an intense sexual cat and mouse game.... but who catches who? There are great secondary friends who are like a tight family and also a sub plot of Lyla's brother's terrible betrayal and the emotional heartbreaking consequences that brings to both of them. There's several appearances of Jake (book 1) finishing in his and Tru's wedding.

A well written and well narrated rock n roll romance that didn't disappoint.

Worth a credit? A roller coaster relationship that had an expiry date, a likeable Heroine that denied the attraction but wanted more and a damaged Hero whose hard shell was protecting his already shattered heart and, for a few passion filled weeks they had it all. A very hot, emotional listen with witty banter, heartache, drama, jealousies and pain but thankfully much needed character development leads to a tear filled HEA ending.... and so worth a credit.

Good , but not great!

This was super good...but just not on the same level as Jake and Tru's story. I honestly think it was the narration... If maybe just one narrator would have read this, I could stay in character better. IDK... plus the whole I want you so bad, but no, your a whore thing...was a bit much in the beginning... Plus we all know Tom as the horn dog...but in this, he was just so not Tom... Like I said...it was good...but not great..

Definitely worth a credit, but maybe not a buy... yes to sale...most definitely...

Such a disappointment

I really don't have any positive things to say about this audiobook. I liked Jake and Tru's story well enough to buy this book. I just couldn't understand either character. I didn't accept the reasons for attraction between the characters were believable. The lead female was grossly immature and annoying and 'great rack' aside, not worth pursuing even for a self professed man slut. Not enough time was put into making either of the characters likeable. The intimate scenes were bland. The female reader didn't help the book to be more appealing, but to be honest, I doubt any reader could have improved it. I'm hoping this is a road bump of a book put out by Samantha Towle and that she puts more effort into her next one.

GREAT STORY BUT...WORST FEMALE NARRATOR EVER!!!!!!

Would you listen to Taming the Storm again? Why?

Aletha makes all the guys sound like complete idiots & doofs instead of hot and sexy, so at this point, I might try, I'm not sure if I can. I haven't even finished it the first time yet. I was really looking forward to this book, before I heard her.

What didn’t you like about Aletha George and Nelson Hobbs ’s performance?

Nelson was good, forget about Aletha, she is f$%#@g terrible ;-( If it wasn't for Nelson's parts I would give the performance no stars, or even better yet- minus stars.

Any additional comments?

Doesn't anyone listen to the book before it is put up for sale. It is a shame that she is so terrible. She takes too much away from a good story line with her terrible voices. Please don't use her again!!! I can't stress enough how bad she is.

Third Book a Let Down

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I do not recommend. It was a big let down from the first two. The female narrator was very green and did not bring out the characters or interest in the book. The male narrator did a good job.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Aletha George and Nelson Hobbs ?

Kate Rudd

Do you think Taming the Storm needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No follow up book needed.

Great Book, poor reader

The book was good starting was shocking. However the reader was so monotone felt like a robot was reading the emotional parts weren't anything good. Wish we could change the reader, I would listen to again.

good story

The storyline was understandable based on the prior books, but the narrator had a rather monotone disposition which made the story a little boring. More depth in her voice would have made a difference. The initial situation with Lyla and her brother made my mouth drop. Total shock I couldn't have predicted. After that, it was rather predictable but still interesting.

My favorite in the series so far!

I really enjoyed this one. The first 2 books did leave me a little irritated with the female lead but I really enjoyed this book. There were some moments that made me cringe but overall I do recommend it.

Taming The storm

A very Rocky relationship indeed! The characters were interesting but irritating because of their immature reactions to dating and love. This is a good book.

Can’t stand female reader

I was two chapters in and can’t stand female reader. She sounded robotic. The four stars is to Nelson Hobbs. I can listen to him reading an article. I skipped to Nelson Hobbs part and stopped. I couldn’t finish.
