Short but oh so sweet

This short novella is from Ansel's point of view and I just loved getting inside his head. If you loved Sweet Filthy Boy then you must get this one. It might be a short listen but it definitely packed a big punch. Not to mention Jason Carpenter's narration is terrific.

5 star listen!

Convinced me not to get book 1

This was like a middle aged French guy musing on the morning after like Jacque Cousteau narrating a documentary. Measured. Clinical. Kind of skeezy. You know the tape recording of the guy in True Lies, telling Jamie Lee Curtis’ fake call-girl character to do it slow? Yeah, it was like that.

Only, I know this is supposed to be his point of view of the Vegas fling that springboards into a romance… as if this is supposed to sell the sexy. Ick. The only value to listening was that it saved me from purchasing the full length book.

A Quick Dessert to the Sweet Filthy Boy Entree

This is a 30-minute follow-up to the first book of this series told from Ansel's point of view of his very first encounter with Mia. That's it, so if you're looking or more, this may not be for you. For as short as it was, it was good, but again, there's not a whole lot to it.

The narrator was sexy, and imagining him as Ansel was a sweet treat.

Recommended for fans of Sweet Filthy Boy.

OH. MY. GOD. ANSEL IS BACK!

Where does Sweet Filthy Morning After rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

it'll be in the top 20 for sure

What other book might you compare Sweet Filthy Morning After to and why?

none

Have you listened to any of Jason Carpenter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Jason Carpenter has an amazing voice! his narrations are always awesome.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What happens in Vegas.... Continues in Paris

Any additional comments?

OH. MY. GOD. ANSEL IS BACK! And with his point of view, even better! Things can get better and better, JASON CARPENTER is narrating with a sexy french accent! *FAINT* And when I thought I would live after this audiobook, the inevitable happened, I saw in my head my already chosen book boyfriend, THEO JAMES! *DEAD*. And then, the audiobook was over. Why? why? why? It was only 30 minutes of my beloved Ansel! I want more! Can i have more please?

The outtake was published last june in VH1 and I was jumping up and down because I love a man POV, and now the audiobook was the perfect addition to the story. I love Jason’s voice, his narration was perfect for Ansel, his french accent was flawless, and when he spoke a little words in french, I was smiling like an idiot.

I won’t say much about what happens in this short novella, all I can tell that Ansel is just perfect!!! <3 You all need to listen to it!!! It’s short, but it’s worth it. 30 minutes and 54 seconds in heaven!!!

Doesn't live up to Book 1

I was a little disappointed by this half book, partly because it was so short (I'm used to the 2.5-hour-long half books from their Beautiful Series), and partly because I actually preferred Ansel's voice when Shayna Thibodeaux was affecting it in Sweet Filthy Boy. That's how I heard his voice for 10 hours, and her slightly nasally voice took on the French accent quite nicely, so to switch to this guy for half an hour right after finishing SFB (because, yes, I just had to know what happened next) was a little distracting. I was so focused on this new Ansel's voice that I had a tough time concentrating on the 30 minutes of story. I was also a little confused as to how Ansel regained his memory of the previous evening so easily. I'm glad the cash price was so cheap, because I wouldn't have felt like I was getting my money's worth if I had paid a whole credit for this one. I've finished the Beautiful Series and have the last book in the Wild Seasons Series left to go, and this 30 minutes was definitely my least favorite of all Christina Lauren's books so far. You can really skip it, too, and the subsequent books will make perfect sense.

Love Ansel!

What did you love best about Sweet Filthy Morning After?

This scene takes place the morning after Mia and Ansel spend the night together and get married. I loved being in Ansel's head - even if it's only for 30 minutes!

Waste of a credit!

I’m so mad, I thought this was an actual book! It’s only 30 mins long. Do NOT waste your money on this. No. Terrible.
