Publisher's summary

The New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation - and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out - Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume - her sweet, filthy fling - to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

Z surprise me on how much I liked!

I picked this audiobook up on the first series sale from audible no expectations. I ended up loving it and listening to it practically all the way through in one sitting. I must love coming of age (or when you become a grown up moments) even though that was a lifetime for me in the past, but I thoroughly enjoyed these two's journey. I really like the narrator's voice especially when with Ansel's cute French accent. I have been known to stop listening to a book if I can't get into the narrative's groove but definitely not this one.

Fans of Beautiful Series Here's the Next Series💕

As a huge fan of the BEAUTIFUL series by Christina Lauren I was anxious to listen to the WILD SEASONS. So far, I'm not disappointed!

3 very different friends fly to Vegas to celebrate college graduation. When Mia Holland wakes up she finds that she is married to a Frenchman called Ansel. They had a passionate night and ended up married. What is a girl to do with the new husband, questions about her future and need to undo what happened in Vegas?

When Ansel surprises Mia with a round-trip ticket to France and a couple of weeks where ALL Mia has to do is play tourist, wife and decide on what she wants for the future…

This writing team hits another series out of the park! Shayna Thibodeaux does a wonderful job narrating.

As usual for a Christina Lauren book: AWESOME!

What made the experience of listening to Sweet Filthy Boy the most enjoyable?

i love, love, love to read books, but have started listening to audiobooks while exercising because listening to the same old music for every workout gets old. The best part about listening to a great book, like Sweet Filthy Boy, is I end up working out a long time because I don't want to turn off the story!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I can't give away one of the big surprises, but once they get past one of the big "shockers", I really felt like they belong together. For most of us, there is that one guy that you know you will compare all the rest to, so if you're smart, you keep him! My audible account is in my husband's name, so the person writing this review is "Matthew"s wife- just to clarify!

Love Ansel and Mia!

When I want light, sensuous and Intelligent romance, Christian Lauren is one of my go-to authors! While this book wasn't their best, it is certainly good and you can't put it down! (I always read and Listen to my favorite authors). Beautiful Player and Beautiful Stranger - in word and narrated are my favorites so far. That said, Ansel and Mia were captivating, intelligently written and I love the opportunity to get into their heads - I couldn't put it down - neither that nor Dirty Rotten Scoundrel - (Next in the Series). Keep it up CL - can't wait for Oliver's story!

My favorite from this series!

I love Shayna Thibodeaux whatever she's reading, but I love this book so much I think I might go back and listen again. This book led to reading not only this series, but the Beautiful series by Christina Larsen, providing hours and hours of enjoyment! definitely NC-17 rated!

took a while to get into

shayna narrated well, but her style took a while to get used to. the way the beautiful Bastard series was narrated was excellent, but this one was a bit more like being read to an audience, not really acted. still loved it though.

Great read, but not filthy!

A bit formula to start---drunken hook up night in Vegas with instant marriage...but then the book really takes off. He is french and she goes with him to Paris for the summer, which he does ask her to do but didn't think she would take him up on his offer- but there she is on his plane...and it starts midflight with her getting a raging abdominal flu and starting her period with no supplies wearing white pants. That was an OMG moment for the two of them.

I must get my hands on everything Lauren writes!

I’m going to start by saying that I’ve never found a Frenchman sexy before. I mean the accent has never done anything for me, not like say a Scottish accent. When I hear a French accent on a guy I think girly. So I was so glad that Shayna Thibodeaux voiced Ansel with a very low-key accent. That was probably due to the fact that Ansel has an American mother so his English is very good. The only time the French really comes into play is when he is speaking French or in a few words when speaking English. Shayna’s narration and Christina Lauren’s writing made me form my first crush on a Frenchman. Shayna not only did a great job with Ansel’s voice but she was outstanding for Mia and since Sweet Filthy Boy is told through Mia’s POV that was very important.

We spend a lot of time in Mia’s head with internal monologue, which can be a bit boring if not done right. It was done right! Mia wasn’t a whiny heroine. Sure, like most women her age (early twenties) she was dealing with some esteem issues but I didn’t want to shot her because she had a ‘poor me’ attitude. Mia is a strong character and with a little help for Ansel she figured out what she wanted to do with her life. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s talk about the beginning of Mia and Ansel’s love story. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas.

The couple meets in Vegas where Mia is having a girls weekend with her two besties after they graduated college. Ansel is having a guys weekend with his buds before having to go back to home to Paris. They have an instant attraction to each other but Mia does her best to fight it because she’s not a one night stand kind of gal. But when you add a LOT of alcohol to an already lusty situation then some mattress, wall and table time is going to happen. Morning afters can be awkward but add in the fact that you wake up with a gold ring on your finger… yeah! But instead of getting their Vegas marriage annulled, Mia and Ansel decide to try playing house for the summer in Paris before Mia goes off to graduate school in the Fall.

A summer in Paris with a sexy Frenchman sounds like fun, right? And it would be for Mia if Ansel wasn’t a workaholic lawyer. Mia is left alone all day in a country that should be fun and romantic. But she doesn’t know anyone and doesn’t speak the language (this reminded me of the couple of episodes of Sex and the City when Carrie went to live with the Russian dude in Paris). Things get off to a rocky start with their sex life but when they start role playing the couple finds a way to get to know each other in more ways than in the bedroom. But of course once they are starting to get in a good place there’s a big conflict. But you’ll have to read Sweet Filthy Boy to see what happens and how Mia and Ansel get their HEA.

Sweet Filthy Boy is just like the title says, it’s both sweet and filthy and highly addictive. The main characters are very likable and they have a great cast of friends that I can’t wait to see how their stories play out.
