Publisher's summary

A powerful hit man, Gideon is the master of the game in a jet-setting world dominated by money, women, and violence. Living off the grid, making love on the run, he makes his living as a contract killer by enacting the revenge of the brokenhearted...for a price.

One woman taught him to kill, another motivates him to succeed in the business of revenge. If he can amass a million dollars, the woman he desires has promised to run away with him.

For her sake, Gideon takes a high-profile job that earns him dangerous enemies, and hops a plane to London hoping to escape the aftermath. On the plane he meets two mysterious women - have they been sent to bring him down? Have his past transgressions caught up with him at last? Or will one of these strangers help him choose a life of love over a life of violence?

In this underworld of grifters and killers, brokenhearted squares and streetwalkers, loyal fans will spot some familiar faces from Dickey's previous books. A thrilling ride through extremes of love and danger, Sleeping with Strangers thrives on the darker passions of revenge and desire.

Binge Worthy

I had read Sleeping With Strangers and Waking With Enemies quite a few years ago. When I started my Audible account I thought it would be great to go back and listen to both books. I was so happy to find EJD had added to the collection! This collection following Gideon is epic and I have been binge listening every since!!

Really cool listening

This was a great listen! Parts of it reminded me of Leonid McGill and a few other independent WM characters, but overall, it was still unique to EJD. Highly recommended!!! Heading to Book 2 without delay.

Shout-out from Katy, TX!!!

Since EJD gave some love to Katy, Texas in this book, it seems only right that I send some back! The author mentioned streets in my neighborhood with such familiarity that I expected see Bruno (the hit man) at the gas station one day. This was a terrifying game of cat and mouse that had me on the edge of my seat every chapter. I was thrilled to see that the story was continued in a second book because I couldn't get enough of these characters. The narrator made the story even better. Bravo!

On the edge seeker

This book was so good that I had to listen to it more than once. I highly recommend this and the Walking with Enemies audiobooks. These two books keep you guessing all the way to the end. Great book.

Intriguing

This book was intriguing, interesting and kept me on my feet. It was full of mystery and suspense so I???m glad I selected it for my next audio selection. I almost started not to select it because one reviewer stated that it was pornographic. This is so not true. I counted and there were only three major sex scenes in the entire story and the first one did not occur until 2 hours and 35 minutes into the book.

I enjoyed the way EJD weaved in and out of past and present scenes with interesting stories of Gideon???s past relationships and childhood.

This is my first EJD book and I really like his writing style. Dion Graham is narrating the story and he is one of the best I???ve heard yet. In fact, sometimes when I really like a narrator (in his case, voice actor), I will seek out their other audios; and I believe he is narrating all of the EJD audio books so that is a plus.

The book can almost be patterned after a James Bond movie. Great job Eric Jerome Dickey!
