Got me hooked on Audiobooks!

I have to admit, I love this book in print, but I haven't liked the other audiobooks I've tried. I heard that this series was being released on audiobook, so I thought, okay, try again. I was *very* pleasantly surprised. Angela Dawe, who reads the book, is fantastic. Even the more, er, heated, scenes were somehow not the problem I thought they might be. I will definitely be getting the rest of this series!

If you haven't tried audiobooks yet, and you like this in print, I definitely recommend it in this format. (And if you've never read it in print, Nalini Singh is an incredible author, and this is a great book--worth the listen!)

Series is an Addiction

I started reading this series with "Caressed by Ice" because Audible was running a special for $4.95. I have to say Audible that is the best way to get someone hooked on a Author you've never read before.
Needless to say I loved that story so much that I just had to hear it from the beginning of the series.
NOW-On with my review of Slave to Sensation. WOW!!! this is the first book of this series and it was AWESOME. I love Lucas and Sasha's story. Nalini Singh is now one of my favorite authors, and as for Angela Dawe well let me just tell you this narrator is one of the best I have heard.
She is great telling these stories and making you feel like you are really part of it. I mean you cant help it's so addictive that you just have to know what happens next. The characters are fantastic and the voices she does are perfect. Makes you want to be part of the DarkRiver and SnowDancer pack/family. The characters all have their own voice Angela brings life to the character.
You get to know everyone by their own voice.
Well...HAPPY listening. I am ready to go onto Faith and Vaughn's story book #2 of this series.

REVIEW:
This was my second read/listen to this book. But I decided that I really wanted to tackle Nalini’s Psy-Changeling series. This first book was really good. Lots of world building, history and foundation that needs to be laid for us to understand this world. But the story between Lucas & Sascha really heats up the pages. Anyone that can have those types of dreams is okay in my book :)
I really loved Lucas’ character. As Alpha of his pack he has to be strong. But Lucas was strong even before he was alpha. Although he was a little broken too. I hope that we get to see glimpses of these two in future books.
I loved Sascha, even if at times I wanted to shake the Psy out of her. But if she was not Psy and struggling with her emotions the story would not be as good.

The narrator Angela Dawe did a really good job with the reading of this book. This was my first book I have listened to narrated by Angela. My only complaint was that the splicing between chapters was way too fast. But I do plan on listening to the second book in this series on audible too.

I really enjoyed this story. If you enjoy supernatural romance with a super story line and believable charactors then do not miss this first in a really super series.

Didn't grab me

I love a good paranormal romance, but this one didn't grab me. I think it may have to do with the fact that I am more a fan of fantasy than sci-fi and this veered more into sci-fi territory. The heroine's mind was connected to a net along with all the others of her kind (sort of a Matrix like thing). The hero was a shapeshifter, but his origins weren't discussed. Not sure if he was also a product of science or more of a mythological type of creature. Not a bad book, just didn't capture my imagination, YMMV.

The performance was ok. The heroine was supposed to be emotionless, so that accounts for much of the narrator's deadpan delivery, but there didn't seem to be a lot of emotion conveyed from other characters either.

I freaking love this series

the narration is on point I can't tell you how many times I bought a audio book and the narrator was just garbage!I really love the World that is painted in the book the people I. the book are just that people real people despite all the make believe. I am listing to this book for the 6th time as I wrote this review is will be reading and listening to the rest of the series . I love how the women in the series are strong even when they are week. there are no damsels withe the too stupid to live factor here. And although there are a bunch of macho men around the know the worth of the women around them I find this story very interesting I love the writing style it's not a waste of time in my opinion

Made me cry and feel

She is such a great writer that I felt like I was there in the story experiencing everything The characters emotions and I could truly picture their interactions with each other. The words she uses and the way she uses those words to describe the scene, their emotions, the characters, and their gestures is so very vivid in my mind. I love Lucas and sasha’s story. I have read this book multiple times already and have finally wrote a review. I cried, laughed out loud, giggle and got angry at the characters like a movie. This story is great especially in audible. I have the book and I have it in Audible. This is one of my favorite stories from her, That she has written. Whoever is reading this should check out her other changeling books and archangel stories.

Pleasant Surprise

I did not expect to enjoy listening to this book. I’ve been have quite the losing streak for finding books with interesting story premises but with sloppy to aweful execution, this was not one of those books. Nalini singh’s world building was intriguing, characters engaging, and story compelling. Exactly how a paranormal romance should be. If any of that sounds appealing to you then this may be just the book for you.
