Valerius isn't a popular Dark-Hunter - he's a Roman, which means that the largely Greek Hunters have a major grudge against him and his civilization for superceding them. To make things worse, he's very conscious of his aristocratic background and breeding. So it serves him right when he runs into Tabitha Devereaux. She's sassy, sexy, and completely unwilling to take him seriously. (Not to mention that she's the twin sister of the wife of former Dark-Hunter Kyrian-Val's mortal enemy.) What Tabitha does take seriously is hunting and killing vampires -and soon she and Val have to grapple with the deadliest of all Daimons - one who's managed to come back from the dead, and one who holds a serious grudge against both of them. To win against evil, Val will have to loosen up, learn to trust, and put everything on the line to protect a man he hates and a woman who drives him nuts.

I absolutely LOVE this series and this book puts SO SO many things in order. You get bit and pieces through Ash's book but unless you have read this one you don't "get it all". Thank you for getting this book!! If you have all the other you MUST get this one too.
This series is really a continuing saga. Start with the 1st book to keep up with the characters and plot lines. Not just your normal vampire romance. Book is one of my favorites in the series along Zarek's and Sins. Hope they record all the rest soon.
I've listened to most of the series on audible. This is by far my favorite of the series. I even like it more than Acheron. There have been a few misses in the series IMHO, but this one is a hit. Val is my favorite Dark Hunter now, surpassing Acheron and Vane. If you are a fan of the series you will love this book. If you are not familiar with the series I would suggest that you start with an earily book, as this book does not give as much of the backstory on the Dark Hunters as some of the other books do. When I started the series, I actually started with book 4, (Zarek's story) not realizing it was a series and skipped around from there, eventually going back and reading the first three books. It's a great series with plenty of offerings to keep you listening happily for a long time.
The story line is very good and it introduced a female Dark Hunter which was a nice change. I did wish there had been a bit more background on her as with the other DH's but it was enough to keep my interest. As with most of them, there is always humor and sarcasm and Danger had that in abundance. It fits right in with the rest of my DH library.
Simi's meeting with her big sister. Hilarious!
Yes and it was right up there with the rest of them, very good.
Yes, there were some sad moments and some very humorous ones
Over all it was a very good story line that helps to complete many of the questions that began with Fantasy Lover. It can be a stand alone novel but it will make you want to know more about the world of the Dark Hunters. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
5 stars is i love and i will read agani and again. 1 is i hate and i never want to hear about it ever again. YES = :))) - NO= :'(
Lets cut to the point, while i was reading this book i was thinking "WHAT!!!! These kind of things happen in the end of a series not here".. I was shocked of what was happening here, and honestly i can say that so far this book is the best in this awesome series.

Simi.. I love Mr. Berman for Simi..
Wow, without giving anything away, I love the twists and turns and the humor. I'm reading the series in order and love how every previous book ties in. I will say that my mouth was left hanging open several times when the unexpected happen. I am totally hooked on Sherrilyn Kenyon. Fred Berman does a wonderful job as narrator. LOVE it.
