I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was very entertaining from the beginning though it got a little draggy two thirds the way through. I wholeheartedly recommend this if you enjoy a romantic novels.
Totally addicted to Audible.
This book has made me want more by Julia Quinn. I enjoyed the humor but shed a few tears as well. Well spent money in this purchase.
I have read this book and liked it quite a bit when I read it which is why I purchased it.
I love Miranda's most of all she is strong and inteligent but vulnerable at the same.
NO....I almost turned off the story because I could not handle the narration.
I did when I bought it even though I have read it befor, however not after listening to the narrator.
I love Julia Quinn however if all of her books are narrated by the same person I will not be purchasing them.
the story is quite depressing in essence and becomes a little far fetched in its execution. the relationship between hero and damsel is a bit thin to be involving such a dramatic story line. not very believable. the good thing is the heroine is a really likable character - has a good sense of humor and is smart and sensible.
the hero is tormented and just plain angry, and after some really insensitive moves, it makes it very difficult to accept that his behavior would be tolerated in this era.
over all it is flat in the development of their relationship. Narration was good though, so that helped.
