Not up to par with Back Stage Pass.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Cunning seemed to have written this book with no depth of the characters. The story-line was pretty weak.

What three words best describe Justine O. Keef’s performance?

O'keef's characters were not narrated distinctly enough.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A real story-line showing the depth of each character.

Any additional comments?

I haven't read her other Sinners books. I hope they're better than this one.

Not a Jessica fan

I could never get into Jessica. She was very unlikeable. This is part because of the writing and part the narrator. The narrator made her sound silly and petty. And I’m not a fan of Jessica snapping at Myrna and Brian at the hospital... not a fan. Jace and Trey seemed more interesting in this story. Ced was too easily manipulated by Jessica. I just really didn’t care for this couple.

Boring

This story offers nothing more than a series of sexual encounters. I wanted to jump ahead of them but was afraid I would miss part of the actual story between Sed & Jessica. As the actual story unfolds it is not believable. Supposedly Jessica has lived through the multiple relationships of her mother, the sexual advances of her stepfather & every other man she comes across, has previously lived the life of Sed's fiancee and lived on the road with him & the band, and has the intelligence to earn a scholorship. Yet we are to believe the response she has to the events at the university? And really, the sexual chemisty between Sed & Jessica is not enough to carry a book. I want my credit back. I will never listen to this story again. And won't be getting the rest of this series.

When you can’t stand either character

I had a really hard time finishing this book. Ugh I just didn’t like Jessica or Ced. I actually had to listen to most of the book at 3x speed because they annoyed me so much. I’m going to give the next book a try but if it’s anything like this book I’m not going to finish the series.

Do not waste your Credit

What disappointed you about Rock Hard?

Oh my this was the worse story line ever. Don't get me wrong I stil love all the guys I might even love them all more. But I just coould not get into Jessica at all she got on my last nerves.

Would you ever listen to anything by Olivia Cunning again?

Yes

How could the performance have been better?

The performance was fine it was the story line that just didnt do it for me. The narrator made me love the Sinners even more.

Uuuuugh🙄

Could she have made the main female love interest in this story any more unlikable and unbelievable?? Jessica blames others for things she is clearly just as culpable for, whines constantly, is utterly one demential and makes the most idiotic decisions/judgments when she’s supposed to be full of life experiences and a law school education with almost perfect grades. I honestly don’t know how I’ve slogged through this. Me=masochist I guess🤷🏻‍♀️

PS-the narrator’s voice whenever doing men’s sexual noises was beyond cringy. Glad I have the romance package and didn’t waste a credit on this ridiculousness.

Long, Ongoing Sex....

I realize there is a audience for a book that is nothing but perpetual sex. I really like a story in there....This is a book about rockers doing what they reportedly do all the time. You may enjoy it...I didn't.

Couldn't relate to any of the main characters

Would you try another book from Olivia Cunning and/or Justine O. Keef?

I've read all of the Sinners books, and generally enjoyed them. My only problem with this one is that I despise both main characters! Funny, though, because I like Sed's charachter in other books from the series. It's just his interactions with the female character (Jessica) and, specially all things Jessica, that I don't like.

Have you listened to any of Justine O. Keef’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Justine is a great performer. I love her husky voice, which allows her to deliver credible male speeches (I usually hate when a performer fakes the other gender's voice: it tends to be annoying and overacted) and suits very well a sexy novel, like this series.

Justine's performance in this book is as good as any other from the series.

Can't stand her

I couldn't get past how much I hated Jessica. She was so annoying and just mean. I continued top listen just to get the rest of the band's ongoing story
