The tension!
I can feel the pain, the confusion, the tension! I’m afflicted to this series! They are both so dysfunctional and broken but obsessed with one another. I love watching the progression of their story. Plus the narrator is absolutely amazing!!!!! She puts so much passion into everything. I feel like I’m watching a movie.

Ace who becomes an Angel
The fact that I have read and read it countless number of times AND then listened on Audio, says pretty clearly how I'm obsessed with this series. Superlative writing and expansive intricate narration, it's one of my top 5 reads
This book further develops Eva and Gideon's relationship.
Gideon is my Number 1 Book Boyfriend of ALL TIMES!
He's perfectly loyal, over the top generous, and his heart though broken and twisted, loves Eva absolutely.
He doesn't take control but is always in control. So everything that happens in Eva's life goes through him, is mediated and controlled by him an monitored & manipulated very closely by him.
He just takes over her threatened life and protects her with all his might.
What a man!!
The letter Eva wrote, Omg was the highlight.
Their Carolina Beach escape the best I've ever read.
