Two classic Westmoreland novels from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Brenda Jackson
The Durango Affair
"I'm having your baby."
Savannah Claiborne's simple statement sets off an avalanche in Montana ranger Durango Westmoreland's carefully ordered life. Suddenly an unforgettable night of passion with the hazel-eyed beauty has turned into a lifetime obligation for the confirmed bachelor.
But Westmoreland men always honor their responsibilities, and leaving Savannah to raise his baby on her own is not an option.
So he proposes and she accepts…with one condition—theirs will be a marriage in name only.
Ian's Ultimate Gamble
Winner takes all…
Casino owner Ian Westmoreland thinks he's seen the last of Brooke Chamberlain—that is until she checks in to his resort claiming to need a little R & R. Brooke betrayed him years before, and Ian is willing to bet there's more to her visit than she's admitting.
No woman even came close to igniting the heat and passion inside him as Brooke once did. And if Ian is going to discover what she's hiding, what better way than by seducing her? But in this game of bedroom cat and mouse, the stakes are very high. Raising the question, will Ian's wager pay off?

Not Brenda's best. There were so many opportunities to make the storyline more interesting in the first half. The second one was better. Now the narrator Madison Vaughn and Gabra Zackman I believe to be the same person. At any rate she does "ok" until she does female voices. They sound like preschoolers or very weak. Hearing a kids voice saying erotic things....yuck!
What a sweet, enjoyable read and/or listen! This is so romantic & sweet. A very sweet, nice book. I was a pleasant person while listening to this...so NICE, not complicated - just good!
The story was interesting enough, even though it was a little too hard to believe, but I hated the female reader's interpretation of the male voice. He sounded like a robot; more like my GPS system than a sexy male human. It's a struggle to get through.
I bought this on sale for $4.95 and didn't pay enough attention to the book info. If I had, the Harlequin name would have stopped me. I just haven't enjoyed the books from that publisher. Less than a few chapters in, my mistake became obvious. Ideas and phrases were repeated ad nauseum; and both character's rehashed past events that left them ambivolent about relationships. The female character had a better excuse- her father kept a secret second family. The male character's traumatizing event..a spoiled woman embarrassed him..poor baby. These situations hardly carry equal gravity. And so the story is set..but I just couldn't muster any interest in what happened next. Life's too short.
The narrator has a very pleasant voice and did what she could.
The story left some to be desired. The narrator was terrible. Not a normal Brenda Jackson book.
I didn't even finish listening to the book, Focus on the story line - not the sex
Nora Roberts Whiskey Beach
The story line could have been a good one but the entire book was all about the love scenes and it just didn't work for me. I prefer an actual story - not just hearing about what they do to each other sexually.
I couldn't even finish the book. I kept trying to but finally just removed it from my device.
I am a 49 year old, mother of 2, grandmother of 4 who has just decided to peel back my good girl, and let me bad girl out to play. I've been married for 26 years. It time to explore my inner bad girl. I just hope my husband can handle it.
Being able to close my eyes and just listen to someone read to me.
The fact that he was a ranger. I love the outdoors, and could picture the way eveything looked.
She has a very easy listening voice. I could listen to her all day.
I almost cried when she was found in the suv cold. I didn't want anything to happen to her or the baby.
Just waiting for more Brenda Jackson Books.

"Promises of Seduction" by Brenda Jackson was another awesome romantic stories. This was two classic Westmoreland series and a great love read and this is what can happen from a 'one night stand.'
The Durango Affair....
Savannah Claiborne (heroine)was a free lance photographer ...sister to Jessica...now she had found herself pregnant...she must inform the father...how would he take it? She leaves Philadelphia for Montana to visit... Durango Westmoreland (hero)from Montana...was a ranger...brother of Chase and sister in law...Jessica. What would happen when he found out about the baby?
Now what happens when two people who have been hurt in different ways by love will be able to find the everlasting love in each one. Now, we will have to see what will happen in this novel...and this is where I say you must pick up this awesome read to find out just what will happen between these two people!
Ian's Ultimate Gamble...Ian Westmoreland...would this person remain single even after seeing Ms. Chamberlain after she had once betrayed him?...
Brooke Chamberlain...now what was going on with them at this time? Now, again this is where I tell you in order to find out you must pick up the wonderful read to find out what is in store for Ian and Brooke? For this author will keep you turning the pages till the end with such good writing.
As always, Ms. Jackson produces such awesome read and I would definitely recommend "Promises of Seduction" to you as a excellent well written read.
