Sweet

I didn’t want the story to end. Julie Garwood always creates stories that make you want to finish in one sitting. This story was very sweet and endearing. I wish Hunter and Victoria would get their own story. Happy Reading.

So so

Took awhile to get into it ' but I liked the story. Didn't seem believable in parts.

The characters were very entertaining.

The story was interesting and lively. I enjoyed the dialogues most of all. Garwood never fails to entertain me.

As with other stories by Julie Garwood, I loved it. I have read this story multiple times. This is a bit different than her other stories, going from the ballroom to the frontier. It deals with human trafficking, which wasn't as widely known at the time of writing but certainly as applicable as in the time frame of the story.

I do wonder if Sheriff Travis is the same Travis as For The Roses?

Love, Love, Love This Book!!!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I did not want to stop. Taylor, the lead female, and her Grandmother have made plans for what is to happen after the Grandmother dies. The plans will protect Taylor and her 2 year old twin nieces. Their plans involve Lucas. He is the bastard son of an Earle but has moved to America to live an adventurous life. Taylor has always been fascinated by mountain men Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett. She wants to go to America and live a free life. There are great supporting characters such as pregnant and suicidal Victoria, whom they meet on the ship and Hunter, a half Indian/half white man who is Lucas's best friend. There are a couple of super bad villains including Taylor's uncle and Lucas half brother, the legitimate heir to the Earle. Most of the action takes place in America and it is exciting. Taylor's trip out west is also very interesting. Taylor and Lucas' plan was to be married in name only, but they find it hard to keep their hands off one another. All in all this is a most entertaining and satisfying book. It is perfectly performed by Rosalyn Landor who is one of my favorite female narrators.

I love books from this author!

Like all her books I usually have a hard time getting started, something about the narrator’s voice in the beginning has me wondering off in my mind. Then we get to the part of the story where I can’t stop listening to it. It draws me in and I don’t want it to end. Recommend this book!

Rosalyn Landor is one of my favorite narrators.

Story is really good bought on a whim and glad I did! I don't usually do reviews for what it's worth.

Wonderful genuine gem.

I wasn’t expecting to like this title as much as I loved her Scotland rifles, but I did. I loved the way the characters changed, developed through the story, and there are so many rich wonderful characters, Rosalyn Landor is superb. This is a treasure.

I knew I would like it, but it went beyond that

I Loved the narrator, I could listen to anything she read, but more then likely I can figure out where the story is going, not this it sent me with twist after twist.. I couldn't wait to see where it ended. 🤔🤨 Yet I didn't want it to End..💖💞💕
