This is an incredible narration. I've never heard masculine and Feminine articulated so perfectly by a single person. Time traveling erotica with a great care to history.

Great narration
if youre looking for high class literature, this probably isn't it. But if you're looking for a well told narrative with excellent narration to pass the time commuting or otherwise, I'd say you've found your book. I really enjoyed it, and I don't typically go in for romance. For those who complained about graphic sexual content, I'd say they must have pretty vivid imaginations, because for the most part there were suggestions, but not descriptions of physical intimacy.

surprised me, couldn't put it down
What did you love best about Outlander?
I don't usually like this type of book, but it held my inteerest until I couldn't put it down.
What did you like best about this story?
the character's in this story were very believable and not over the top. Some of the things that happened to the characters were shocking and heart pounding. the story was a roller coaster of emotions. Some stories are a good read but you just sit there, NOT THIS ONE!
Which character – as performed by Davina Porter – was your favorite?
Jamie, the voices she gave to each one enabled the listener to see the character in their mind.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes but it's too long, I did lose sleep staying up into the night listening but it still took several days, I admit I rushed each time to get back to it.

Excellent, book for any reader. It is filled with adventure suspense and steamy passion. It is the type of book you will not put down until ye, are finished. On to book two!

Captivating and ADDICTIVE
Would you listen to Outlander again? Why?
Yes. I am making my way through the Outlander series. I would like to go back and start through again, picking up details I may have missed or forgotten.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The tv series was what brought my attention to the books. I felt the attention to detail was amazing and found the books more so.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the book immensely and immediately started on the second. The narrator is so easy to listen to. The moment Claire or Jamie start speaking, you know who it is by the tone and inflection. I find myself looking for any opportunity to listen, even if for only a few minutes at a time. The relationships of the characters are realistic and detailed. Very enjoyable listen! I am so addicted to this series already!

I choose love...
This book is really good!! The narration...even better. Davina Porter is excellent. It does have its moments of brutality but that was suited to the times and it did make me cringe many times. This book is filled with history, love, and making hard decisions. I loved it...on to part two!
