Excellent story, perfectly narrated. A must read
The Outlander series is one of the around. I found myself carried away in the pure romance, the struggles, and story as a whole.

Wonderful Series!
If you've a love of history or happen to be an Anglophile as myself, you will quickly fall in love with this series!! As it feeds my cravings for both of the above, I am fully immersed in this world and reading with the unable to stop abandon of a great book! Come, meet Claire and her journey. An Enticing Read
I only bought this book because it was available on a cheap special price... but I'm so glad I did. It was very well researched, and Dianna Porter did a terrific presentation, especially with the accents. NOT a book for kids, as it graphically addresses the innocent suffering that occurs during times of polical struggle. It took a little while to get into, as the author presented a lot of detail in setting the scene, but worth perservering as the story really blossoms, with the theme of, what sacrifice is enough to protect the one you love? Gripping. Would highly recommend 'Outlander'.

I am so hooked!
I stumbled upon Outlander when Audible ran a "start a series" special. I had no idea when I chose Outlander that I would be responsible for turning on so many people to this incredible series. I listened to the entire series (so far) in a row and simply couldn't stop. In fact, I bought the books so I could read when I couldn't listen and vice-versa! It is unfortunate that Audible doesn't have all the books unabridged. I had to get those from the library.
These books are a perfect blend of romance, history, and time travel.

Davina Porter that says it all!
Davina Porter is such a fantastic narrator she makes this entire series come to life. This is one of my all time favorite series Diana Gabaldon is such a great author and the pairing of the great writing and the great narration makes it a hit!

What made the experience of listening to Outlander the most enjoyable?
I have seen the 1st book as a tv series, starz network, and I have read the books, many years ago, and now listening to the audio is so enjoyable to be able to put faces to Jamie and Clarie etc is great! thank you

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
At first I had a hard time getting use to her but now I don't think anyone could have done a better job. I like the way she gets into character with each person. Way to go Davina Porter!
