Publisher's summary

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well - until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her...down to the very soul.

It became tiresome

I don’t write too many actual reviews but I thought I’d just say that this book was a bit of a disappointment. I’d listened to another samantha young book and so I sought out this one because I liked her writing style. However, the main character in this grew tiresome. Yes, there are some tragic elements to her story her character is so self-absorbed and immature that she makes every problem about her. Every situation is traumatic for her even if it’s really not about her at all. She is so unlikeable that by the last 3hrs or so I just wanted it to be over. I’m not a quitter and try to finish books so I let it play out but I’ve never been so happy to have a book conclude. If it wasn’t for all the graphic sex I’d say this was better aimed at teenagers than actual adults. But as it is, I’m not sure who would enjoy this.

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED

I loved this story! I was slightly worried I wouldn't enjoy this story as much because I was listening rather than reading but that definitely was not the case here! I loved the story as well as the narration! This is one I'll definitely be recommending to anyone who will listen!

The BEST!

Hands down the BEST Audiobook and BEST narrator I have heard all year... maybe EVER. I highly recommend this, worth not only a credit, I would have paid full price! Can't wait to hear another by this author.

AMAZING!!!!

Rarely do I find a book that was so hard to put down that I practically ignore my family! Every morning I got in the car to listen to it I was actually thrilled that I have a long commute. I'd pull up to work and hate to get out and stop the story. I'm not entirely sure why I was SO pulled in; but nonetheless I was. I loved all the characters, every single one of them. I loved the narrator's voice, I loved how she depicted Braden and Jocelyn. I just loved their labored romance and the intensity of their love. I'd probably have to say this is one of THE best audio books I've ever listened to. I'm now desperate to see if Samantha Young has any more books. I'd love to hear their story continued. The emotion in this book was perfect. The descriptions were spot on of how she felt...it was pretty much just INTENSE. That's the best word to describe it. I actually found myself laughing out loud, and even crying...not a great way to walk in to work!

I couldn't recommend this book any higher. If there were 10 stars it would get it. Great book, great narrator and the characters were done impeccably. Both content and delivery.

Loved it and now I'm so sad that it has ended. The good news is, since I've purchased it, I'll have it forever to read over and over!

Very captivating

I really enjoyed this book and it's narration. The characters were very real and complex. At times I wanted to smack Joss and yell "Get over yourself." But, I'd like to do that to some friends as well sometimes. So, it was really interesting. Characters were likable. It was just well written and the narrator captured each character perfectly. Really well done.
