Publisher's summary

Love is so much more than a game....

Easton Wylder, all-star catcher for the Austin Aces, has had two constants his entire life: his love for the game of baseball and his need to keep his secret hidden. Both define the man he is.

Scout Dalton is trying to make a name for herself. She can step out from behind her father’s shadow by getting Easton back on the field. But working together turns into flirting, and flirting leads to fine lines being crossed that if caught could be devastating to her career.

When an unexpected twist of fate leaves Easton reeling, he’s left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Including the woman who shares his bed.

With his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to doubt everything–Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome—his secret.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth—no matter the cost.

The Player Duet: Boxed Set contains two novels, The Player and The Catch.

Strong and intelligent FMC + vulnerable and sweet MMC. I come back to this one for listening during work or chores.

Good but got boring

I enjoyed the story half way in, then drama after drama. I just got bored but I did finish it. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt always do a good job no matter the story.

A complete home-run from the storyline to the narration!!! PHENOMENAL!

Wow, wow, wow!!! An outstanding duet that is a complete home run! Kristy wrote a narrative that is impressive, engaging and yet always surprising! I was completely hooked after the first chapter! She opened up this book with a bang with the first interaction between Easton, a baseball player and Scout, a physical therapist. I knew right then that these 2 were going to steal my heart! The plot threw me quite a few curve balls but each one made the story better and better! This is one book you won’t be able to put down as you discover this satisfying storyline page after page! A sports romance with twists, turns, spicy romance, real life issues, drama and family. While you read this book, have a clear mind going in and I promise you’ll have a full heart by the end! PHENOMENAL!

“There will come a day, when someone will love the parts of you that know one else knows how to love, that’s how you know they’re the one for you.”

Andi Arndi and Joe Arden knocked this narration out of the park!!! They brought such an incredible narrative to life and performed this book so well that I was completely immersed in the story! The animation of their different voice inflections during the narration had me feel like I was watching this whole book play out in my mind as I read! An EASY 5 star performance!

Fabulous!

This is my first read by K. Bromberg, I was introduced to her work through the TV series based on her Driven book series, and the reviews for The Player Duet were so good I decided to give it a try.

It was well worth the credit! Bromberg blended flawed characters, an interesting plot with relevant subplots, a contemporary setting in the world of MLB, and more than one surprising plot twist in The Player Duet. Narration is excellent. And with the two books sold together, it was a solid WIN!
