    "A Southern Accent - NOT!"

This book, was quite trite. Although I can put up with that, the narrator has definitely made me quit listening to this series. A southern accent doesn't have to sound breathless constantly. It could have been good . . .

    "It Made Me Giggle!"

Predictable storyline...I can live with that. But Amanda's cheesy southern drawl made me laugh out loud...to the point it distracted me from the story. It made her sound like a complete idiot who stumbled on the means to save her lover.....can't blame her for that...those sex scenes were hot! Overall, should be listed as a comedy.

"Loved it but it's not the first Book of the Series"

I really liked the book, but I was sad to find out after I had listened to the book that it is not the first book in the series. The first book is call: Fantasy Lover, and it's about Julian of Macedon and Grace. But I don't think Audible has this book. I just wanted to warn you all. Night Pleasures is a great book and I highly recommend it, I just wish Audible had Fantasy Lover as well.

    "Loved this..."

Am a fan of Laurell K Hamilton and Sherrily Kenyon was recommneded for Hamilton fans. Now I'm really into it and I like the fact that each Dark Hunter book focusses on a new Dark Hunter, so avoids repetition. Narrator also a did a bang-up job of making me fall in love with the characters.

    "Absolutely a Pleasure!"

I read this book a couple years ago and really got into the characters, story and all the nuances of the hurts, pains, pleasure, passion and more. When I saw that Ms. Carrington MacDuffie was the narrator I knew I had to listen to it and I was well rewarded! I have recently discovered Ms. MacDuffie and find that she knows when something should be "dry", "whispered" or otherwise instead of just reading like an automaton therefore doing very well by the characters and their story; unlike some other narrations. I hope Ms. Kenyon is as pleased with her narration of Night Pleasures as I am. Ms. Kenyon has such savvy and wit in her writings and to have it live on in the narration is a true and simple pleasure to enjoy. I was so sorry to have it end. I only wish Ms. MacDuffie would have read Fantasy Lover also by Ms. Kenyon. That would have been a true treat with all its warmth and humor. I truly hope you find the enjoyment of this audible.com book as I have.

    "A little too Sexy"

much like soft core porn for women. Too many references to the men's privates and how they feel against other body parts. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a sexy book from the woman's viewpoint, but this gave me the "gay" creeps. I kept trying to fast forward some of the action. the ending was also fairly predictable.

    "I want a refund"

I have had this book for 5 months and have tried 3 different times to listen to it. I quit after 20 minutes the first time, got to 1 hour the second time and made it with great struggle to 2 hours this last time. What a waste of time. I usually have something nice to say even about books I don't especially like, but this one I just can't.

    "Potential for an interesting story.......lost"

Well written, however, every other page seems to be the two main characters fawning over eachother or having sex, which by the way was well written and descriptive. My problem with the book is that the underlying story is an interesting premise, but the thought that a creature over 2000 years old and a woman somewhere around thirty would be so physically enamored with eachother to the extent in this book is just about juvenile. If there were more balance I would overlook this one aspect of the book, but there is no balance in this book and the story becomes almost an afterthought. She is a best selling author though......amazing.

"These ought to be filed under Romance"

Ugh. Maybe teenage girls enjoy this trite, overblown nonsense, but no adult should bother with it.
