"If you love Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, then boy, is this the book for you...original and complex...the characters are unforgettable and the action thrilling." (Romantic Times)
Loving all things that go bump in the night
Not even a little. Night Pleasures is one of my favorites in the DH series...and I couldn't finish the audio version of it.
Hmm. In this one Kyrian is my favorite, but only because Nick isn't in it as much as I'd like.
Unfortunately, just about anyone else. The accents were too jarring (too sacharine southern for Amanda and Tabitha, I couldn't figure out Kyrian's, and Talon's was just...no.) If I had my greatest wish fulfilled? It would be this one, and Night Embrace to be re-recorded by Holter Graham.
Nope. I couldn't even finish it in several sittings.
This book has been disappointing.I can't think of anyone who would enjoy it.
NO!! What a waste of my book credit!
She sounded like she had something in her mouth, like a piercing. I think she also made it sound as if she despised the main female character as much as I have.
I purchased 3 of the Dark-Hunter series when there was a special and this was the 3rd one for me. I have to say that I found the frequent, graphic sex scenes to be distracting and the plot line to be thin. There are so many in this series that I thought that maybe I would get into the stories eventually, but I never really did. Sorry, but I rate this as just "Ok."

I thought the sex was overdone. It was not germaine to the story in my opinion. I love a book when the characters are well-developed and the sexual scenes leave you to your imagination. I am not interested in continuing on with the series. I'm not sorry I tried the book on the 3 for 2 credits.I do recommend you either use headphones or if listening in your car... make sure your windows are rolled up. Nothing worse than sitting at a red light when the story goes into great detail on a sex scene and your windows are down. Might have made someone's day though!
Yap, loved the story. But I did start with the Chronicles of Nick.
I don't care what anyone else think's, although I'm probably different in that I read the "Chronicles of Nick." first before starting the DH book's. But i truly did like ever thing!
While this is not one of what I would consider my top series, it did keep my interest and I will give the next one in the series a chance. Right now, I would consider this series a good fill in until the next books in my top series come out.
The story is amazing and kept my interest the entire way...
Only heard this reader do this series and I loved her...very easy to follow...
The entire book moved me...always love the endings...
It had all the qualities I wanted: Paranormal world, love story, lovable H/h, fulfilling HEA, and humor to keep the seriousness of a dangerous story light enough to enjoy.
She would do anything to give him back his soul.
I have just read the Nick Chronicles and really liked those stories, and thought that this was a continuation of that series. It is, but in a very different genre, it is suddenly an awkwardly done romance novel. A character making out right after meeting, with a high frequency of “bulge” conversation and very staged encounters. It isn't a believable romance, and really that isn't my cup of tea anyways, I guess the title should have clued me in, but coming off her other series I wasn't thinking along those lines. I only got through a first part, but I do think it is a shame; I liked this world she created in the other series.
Not really. It was hard to get interested in the story or the characters.
Yes. Another series may be along the lines of my interest.
/////it might have been beneficial to have two narrators for the main characters--one male, one female.
Different characters, different circumstances.
