This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Not predictable. Strong characters and ensemble cast. While I am not necessarily a western reader, I loved this story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good book. The narration was superb.
If you like listening to stories on the radio, you will like this.
I love the role the main characters play. The way they love and their will power. How their love made them strong.
I love the main characters.
I love Beverly Jenkins books. I have read all her books. I love the characters and the history story line.
In love with love...
Beverly Jenkins is a master at historical romance and Night Hawk doesn't disappoint. The story and each character is fully developed and the twists and turns of the plot will have you laughing and gasping!
This is first I have heard of this book, however I enjoy the authors work so much.
The Preacher of course!
He was the worst narrator I have ever heard. The book would have been much better with different narrator, he made the women all sound the same.
Write about something else than slavery.
No. He made white people sound ignorant.
I wish the discription was better. It did not say this was about slavery and a mixed couple.
I bought it based on the good reviews. I am offended how the narrator portrays any whites. I overall hated the 30 minutes I listened to and will never read another book by her or the narrator.
I enjoyed the story overall and liked the heroine very much - it gave very good information about the West and details about the plight of Natives and Blacks during the time period after Reconstruction (better than the South).
The heroine's escape from the Preacher! :)
The performance could have been better - I didn't care for Ian's voice and some of the minor characters.
Life Beyond the Pain.
I think I would have enjoyed it more with a different narrator.
I adore stories and love to live in the tales I read!
I like when they first saw each other. The story was nice and a good way to spend some time. The bits of history of the story was a nice touch. More than likely I will read another story.
