Loved this series

Oh those Highlander warriors and their fierce women. This was my favorite of the series, but all were well written and narrated. As another review stated; the series read like 1 story broken into 3 books. Loved them all.

So Jolly!

This last book was a lot more jolly and showed more joyous moments than what Alaric and his heroine had to go through! A fit ending I suppose, but I did want to know more about Alaric and Keele bc it just left them at the end like that in the second book, like they didn't get an actual wedding, talk of children, etc. Well anyways, Kirsten Potter as usual, did a wonderful job narrating!

Loved this Trilogy!!!

I really enjoyed the three story lines and how they were woven together so beautifully. The narrator was really good too. Highly recommend all three!!!

I would love this Highlander

A love story that definitely takes you by storm. A quick unexpected marriage, but they do find a way to learn to accept each other and become a family. I fell in love with this highlander. Romance, adventure and a great narrator that brings this highland romance to life.

Loved every moment

This was a beautifully written story. Never a dull moment. It will be one I go back to over and over again.

Audiobook: Narrator - Kristen Potter

I absolutely HATE that this series is over an not only because I’ll miss these characters, but because I’ll miss this narrator’s superb performance. She doesn’t just read the story and change her voice a bit here and there, she pulls you into it with her incredible diversity of voices and characters. None are the same, all are addicting, and each one I fell in love with due to Ms. Potter’s narration.


This is the only book in the series that I never had the chance to read so I was thrilled to see it pop up on Audible.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Rionna. Up to this point she’s kind of just been on the sidelines, a woman dressed in men’s clothing and a bit one dimensional. I was afraid she would be so tough and warrior like that I wouldn’t be able to connect with her. I couldn’t have been more wrong. She actually had so many layers to her. She had her reasons for her behavior and they were believable. She also wasn’t changing anytime soon but learned to embrace both her need to defend herself as well as the woman her husband called forth from her.

Caelen once gave his heart away and his clan paid the deepest price for it. He has been a cold, hard character throughout the series, with a few exceptions when it came to his sisters-in-law. That was what I held on to. And also the fact that this author knows how to do alpha heroes.

It was fun to watch both of the hero and heroine adapt to the changes in their life. So much of it was witty, some was angsty, and some was anger inducing. All of it kept me enthralled with the story. This has some drama that helps this couple to further develop individually and as a couple as well as a moment when Caelen’s worst nightmare comes to life. My heart broke for this couple and I wasn’t sure how they would overcome it if they survived.

Each of the books in this series has been unique and individual with the exception that the heroes are fiercely loyal to the women they marry/love and the heroines are strong enough to deal with their forceful ways.

Can’t recommend this series enough, but I do suggest you start from the beginning.

Warrior Princess mets Highland McCabe

Ms Banks is one of the few writers who can tell a tale in 3 books and make them all very good. Ewen # 1 is a strong hero & begins the tale. Aleric #2 book, you will need a tissue and Calen #3 is headstrong but the ending is so endearing. This is the first trio that really is worth buying. Voice of Kristen Potter makes all 3 books just plain wonderful to listen and get the full experience. I listen to the 3 books straight through and you can not say that about many triology!

Love this series

Would you consider the audio edition of Never Love a Highlander to be better than the print version?

I have never read this in print but I thought the audio version was excellent.

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to this whole series narrated by her and I think she does a great job. Her accents are very well done.

Any additional comments?

This was not my favorite book in the series but I enjoyed very much anyway. Caelen was frustrating at first and I thought he was going to be a hopeless hero but managed to redeem himself in the end. Rionna was great but I got upset when Caelen was initially trying to change and control her thankfully she didn't listen to him :)

Loved the story. The narrator not so much

I have read this book myself and loved the story and the series. I did not care for this narrators accent. Most of the time it felt like the story should have taken place in Russia. She has a pleasant voice and I think with the right story I would enjoy her reading very much.
