Kept waiting for some drama then the expected HEA but the drama never came. Just lots of hearts and flowers. I love a good romance but jeez!! This was too much.
Was this book really written by the same author?
I felt that the scenes were rushed, there was no development in them, the dialogue was stilted and under developed, and had no flow at all.
It was like the author had a checklist of things that were meant to happen, and methodically ticked them off without connecting them to the characters or building them at all.
After the first book wowed and hooked me, and the second sealed the deal, I really hoped that this word polish off the story.
Instead, I'm left wishing that there had just been two.
E.L. James, Katy Evens, and Sylvia Day! E.L. James writing ability is trouble, Katy Evens characters are too sweet(boring) for me; however, SYLVIA DAY gives me LIFE. They all have the same concept, a little girl takes the heart of a too young to be a billionaire, blah, blah, blah. I think they need to up the ages of these characters, so tired of reading from a little girl's perspective who quite doesn't know her body yet or knows what she wants in Life. I need for these women to at least be 28 years old, and the men in their 30's.
l loved, loved, loved the Manwhore Series. Wonderfully witten, it was a hard to put down book. l listened while I worked, cleaned, cooked or drove. This series included completely developed characters, humor, tenderness and romance. Well worth the credits or a purchase. I would happily reread the entire series. Just a feeling, but looks like there could be a spin off for more romance with a couple of friends.
After the first two books of getting to know the characters, their growth, this conclusion turned out to be less romantic more fairy tale even for the romance genre.
Kudos to Katy Evans on a job well done! This was a sweet ending to Malcolm and Rachel's journey. I could see a spin off, and look forward to it--Tahoe and Gina maybe?? I might spend two credits on those two!
Favourite part is when she missed her dad and Sin Comforted her ,Great ending Love it.
"Tedious- wrong book choice for me."
I bought Manwhore and loved it Manwhore + 1 was only 'good' I bought this at the same time as Manwhore + 1 and regret it - this is just plain tedious (I didn't make it past chapter 5, this is the 1st book I have aborted half way through and I have a library if over 100).
I apportion this in part to the narrator and the tedious descriptions of billionaire lifestlyes, for me a story is more than good sex scenarios and luxury - I think I enjoyed the 1st book but realised this author has nothing more or different to offer.
Like I said this was a bad book choice, the voice annoyed me but I did love 'Saint'.
"Bit of a disappointing end"
Nice end to the story but didn't need a third book to do it. Feels like a waste of a purchase.
Nowhere near as good as the first two books. Was really looking forward to this third book having enjoyed the first two in the series and even preordered but was sadly disappointed. Not a lot happens basically, the writing becomes a bit monotonous and I struggled to keep interested. For the first time ever, I didn't make it to the end....maybe something great happens in the final chapter?! The narrator is a great storyteller but had little to work with here. The series should have ended with book 2. Not worth the credit in my opinion.
"The sinful devil you know and love"
The final piece ? in the wonderful puzzle that is the manhole series definitely hits the mark. Sexy Malcolm Saint and his beautiful earthy Rachel tie the knot in spectacular fashion and don't they deserve a HEA. Grace grant has a voice you could listen to for hours.
"sad it's over"
loved this series and I'm sad it's over would love to see them as parents would love to hear his voice....never say never if we ask nicely I may get what I wish for. fantastic book will definitely be reading this series a third time....
