Publisher's summary

Nothing matches Lora Leigh’s latest entry in the series about genetically altered Breeds with feline DNA—and the humans who awaken their desire.

Someone has been slipping the Sanctuary’s secure information to a pharmaceutical company. Now it’s up to Ria Rodriguez to pose as a clerk and uncover the leak. Yet she has no idea of the danger she’s about to encounter—or the passion she’s about to ignite in one of the greatest Breeds ever created.

What Happened??

Love this series. Loved Megan's Mark: story and performance.
But I could barely finish Mercury's War. Story was great, but the narrator (the same one for Megan's Mark) sounded like she was a novice at times. Dialogue is well played, with feeling. The rest had a strange rhythm and pitch changes throughout. And some of these male breeds sound too much alike. What happened?? I heard none of these problems while listening to Megan's Mark. I'll try the next book because I like the series and the narrator CAN do a good job. Just not sure what happened here.

Mercury - Can you say HOT!!

This has to be my favorite in the series so far. The stories really seem to be growing more and more as the series progresses. If you want a truly hot and steamy romance, Lora Leigh does it best. Be warned her stories are graphic but that is her style and she does it so well. Some of her stories have more sex than story but this series seems to really be more about the story and it's development. Don't get me wrong there is still a lot of steamy sex but the story stands up on it's own. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

This is another series that is missing a lot of books but I must say the ones they do have follow each other well so you don't feel like you are missing too much even though they do not have every book in the series. I recommend all the books in the series so far!!

Too Much!!

This book has way too much sex in it for me. The sex is very crudely described and if you take out all the sex you might have two chapters worth of story. I like romance books but this one goes too far!!

terrible narration

you would think that when the storyline is about "feral displacement," the narrator would know how to pronounce the word feral. very sing-song, fake voice narration. had to shut it off.

Spies are found, extremely interesting romance

No spoilers, very intriguing family relations revealed, more history on Leo & Elizabeth, someone unexpected from Mercury’s past makes an unhappy appearance. This one is full of adventures and hot sex. Guess she can’t write real erotic anymore with her new publisher Penguin, what a shame. As always, terrific narration by Brianna Bronte.

This is one of my favorites!

I love Rhia and her demure self but when she quits hiding her inner self, it's game over. She's ready to kick butt and take names like the rest of them. Mercury is one of my favorite characters, hes so complex. The council did him so wrong, but he is such a valiant and honest breed. These two are a perfect team.

Mercury’s War

This book was hard to listen to because of Bronte’s voice she really read this one funny. For some reason her voice was irritating to me I don’t know why I didn’t notice it in other book......Now to the story this was a really good book there love was heart wrenching ( I cried). I recommend this one to anyone especially anyone who loves Breed books

Mercury On Fire!!

I'm currently re-listening to all the breed audiobooks I purchased (and I believe I have ALL the ones that were released through Audible). This is my second time listening to this story, and I realized this installment had everything I want in the Lora Leigh Breed Series books. If Merc was a real being, even I would be attracted to him! Of all the mated couples in the series this is the best match. Ria is perfectly matched to Merc. I also like the relationship Dane & Ria have (his protective affection for her). I also really liked the way Brianna Bronte voiced Merc, Ria, Dane & Jonas in particular. (On a side note, I really need Dane to have his own book; he's nuts & similar to Jonas on another level).

Exceptional

I really enjoyed this story, held my interest and it gave me a reason to continue the series.
