10+ stars! Brava Mary Jane Wells!

Mary Jane Wells, who also narrated the first book in this series, gets 10+ stars for her performance in Marrying Winterbourne. Her Rhys Winterbourne is simply the sexiest, swoonworthiest hero I've ever heard from a female narrator, and I'm reliably informed that her Welsh accent is excellent.

If you are at all into audiobooks, just skip the reading and head straight for the listening. You won't regret it.

After a fairly 'meh' first book, Ms. K has gotten her groove back, and Rhys Winterbourne joins the ranks of Derek Craven (Dreaming of You) and Lord St. Vincent (Devil in Winter) as one of her most memorable and enticing heroes

Loved it!

As close to perfection as a Romance can be - well written, beautifully narrated, a heroine with backbone and charm, a Hero with a loving heart and strong character, plausible obstacles, healthy sex, and three dimensional secondary characters. Many thanks to author, Lisa Kleypas, and narrator, Mary Jane Wells, for a truly enjoyable experience.

I still give this 5 stars even if the ending could have been better. Kleypas could do no wrong in my eyes.

Highly Recommend

I'm gonna try to keep this short. First thing, I highly recommend this book to everyone who's a Lisa Kleypas fan. While I was not overly excited about the 1st book of this series, admittedly you don't have to read it. I would say if you want slight background it might be a nice read as they do show up there first.

Second, this book makes up for me not loving the previous installment. I can't stop smiling. There are rare times when a romance novel can keep me guessing. I will definitely keep rereading this for years to come. Wells's performance was amazing as always!

Finally, Helen and Rhys had a very wonderful relationship and I hope we get to see more of them in other parts of the series. I grew to love them dearly.

I really enjoyed seeing the characters develop in this story. There were very cute and serious plot twists to keep you reading on. I used this book during the cleaning of my cabinets and closets during the social isolation phase of the COVID19 outbreak. This was the fiction I needed to keep calm and busy! Thank you. Mary

Lisa Kleypas never disappoints! Delightful! I worried about listening to a historical romance instead of reading it but the narration was fantastic.

Better than the first! Delightful!

I was hooked all the way through. Such fun dialogue and characters. Heartwarming moments, sexy moments, laugh out loud moments - Marry Winterborne has it all!
