You can't control who your attracted to

You know a story is worth it when you cheer for the bad guy. Yes one is truly a bad guy who does bad things. I liked these guys, thought they were fun & sexy and had chemistry. The narrator was wonderful, great job Renard. The story starts off well it is basically a story of meeting someone who you just can't hide the real you from.

One of our characters knows he's gay but doesn't really do anything about it and the other hasn't ever had to think about it until he meets and is attracted to a MAN. Luckily they are smart enough to just be amazed by it happening instead of trying to figure out why.

Oh they have other issues. The story is not too predictable and one you will enjoy. The sex scenes will definitely have you making sure your earplugs are in completely. Oops caught me blushing.

A Good Sinner

This was a really good book. Angelo Pagan is the head gang leader of Los P a notorious gang in Brooklyn NY. When his sister is killed the NYPD brings him in for questioning where he meets Detective Gabriel Ashby. Gabriel has never looked at another man he was straight he had a live in girlfriend both Angelo and Gabriel know they shouldn't be together a cop and a gangster. When a police raid goes bad and Angelo shoots Gabriel to save his life. Angelo can't stay away from Gabriel and he Gabe doesn't want him to. This book was really good the chemistry between these two was hot. I love reading M/M and when one of them is a gangster I was in heaven listening to this book. Angelo was a killer he was also a damaged man thanks to his uncle who tried to kill him many times for the things that his mother did so when his uncle begin to give him problems he pushes back all the while sneaking around with Gabriel. Both men are hot and sexy Angelo with long hair Angelo who has know he was gay since he was 14 Gabe is confused about his sexuality although he knew that the relationship with his ex was over before it was. Their relationship has some ups and downs with each man being on an emotional rollercoaster due to a lack of communication and them not wanting to face that their relationship might not last. The sex scenes are very erotic and I loved them. This is a new series to me and this is also the first time reading this author this book was very well read as I listened to it on audio the narrator did a really good job he pulled me right in so much so that I have already purchased the next book and I am looking forward to reading it.

I wanted to like it, but couldn't finish it.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Not sure, but certainly wasn't for me

What do you think your next listen will be?

Nothing else in this series

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator was ok, it was the storyline I did not like.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The idea that a cop and gangster might have a relationship could have been a good plot line, unfortunately it didn't pan out in my opinion. The interaction and dialogue between the two main characters was unrealistic and hard to listen to.

Any additional comments?

I usually like gay fiction written by woman, it's an odd combination that can really work at times. I felt like this book was written from a woman's perspective and the cops gender was changed to make the book fit into this genre.
