Narration is so important

Drove me CRAZY how the men were narrated! Especially her brother's voices. UGH! And narrators cadence was really strange at times.

The narrator ruined it. I hate a hard time getting into it listening to the narrator. But pushed through. Unfortunately the way she made some of them speak made it not fit with what I think the characters would have been trying to portray. Like Ben to me should have sounded a bit more convincing and stronger. Not weak and completely submissive. In other words, the way he was described and the way he sounded didn’t add up. It also Left it feeling like there was a bit of a disconnect between A few of the main characters with that being an issue.
Otherwise I thought it was a good story. My only complaint was that I didn’t like that there was sometimes questions that should have been addressed sooner then they were. Like it was hard to comprehend what was occurring when they were leaving out a big, “WELL WHAT ABOUT.....( not to give away anything)?” But that thing wouldn’t have been left out if otherwise in real life.

Scorching and Touching...Lauren Dane Amps it Up!

I have to say that this story is original, and I'm usually not for multiple partners, but these are people who are committed and amazingly make it work. Lauren Dane has amped it up with this series and I love, love all the Brown books. You can't go wrong with these books if you want Sweet, Smart, Scorching characters and stories....you can't put them down, and her continuity through the series is to be commended...I've listened to all of them twice! Waiting for Raven's book! I've listened to her Chase Series and it's fine, but this is writing and characterization on a whole different level. Thanks Lauren! Keep the Browns going!

Steamy, steamy ménage

The narrator does a good job when narrating except when she narrates a dialog. She constantly fails to differentiate between characters - especially the male voices. Brody's narration in particular was pretty bad.
The story was good. It wasn't great. There were several details I felt added nothing to the story. While there was an underlying storyline, this whole narration felt like listening to soft porn reminiscent of Fifty Shades. Never really showing any depth.

A Great Book Ruined by a Horrible Narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend that they read this book first before buying audio version. I love audiobooks, I have over 600. Narration can make a mediocre book excellent and can ruin an excellent book. But everyone has different tastes for narration. I found her narration to be overly dramatic and over-the-top. Her male voices were just horrible for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I love Lauren Dane's books. This series is one of my favs. She creates great characters, they are very realistic and sympathetic.

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator would have improved this book greatly for me. I won't be able to finish listening to this book. The narration is just to painful to listen to for me. I'm glad I have the kindle version.

I am half way through listening to this book...they should take her "Narration Card" away indefinately!!! She was just horrible. I can hardly finish listening to these phony "Valley Girl" voices!!

Narrator

The story was ok... The narrator made the men sound RIDICULOUS. I would actually laugh out loud at how she the men in the story sound. I finished the book because I used a credit on it. But it was basically background noise, I couldn't take any of it seriously due to the narration.

Narration takes.away from characters

Narration to proper sounding for characters. really needed a male voice in addition to female. I read this book in paperback and loved it. I didn't care for it narrated this way.

It was good but I was expecting great

I read a lot of highly recommended reviews for this book on the Goodreads website. Honestly, I liked the book but didn't love the book. It was hot in some places but I still didn't connect with the characters.

Wow, just wow

This book was very interesting, it wrapped you up and took you for a ride. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is for two reasons, 1, sometimes it was really tough to know who was talking and 2, it made me cry.

Overall it was a happy book, 99% was about boy meets girl boy gets scared boy runs. Then boy meets same girl 10 years later and doesn't want to run again....he ran because he was scared of who he was, some people like kink, some people think kink is a bad thing, when your brain says kink is bad and your body says kink is good it can make you run. Once he grew up he knew what he wanted...and in exploring what he wanted and what she wanted a third person was invited in....and the steamy scenes melted my ear phones! I could not listen to this book without earphones because oh my oh my HOT.

Some people have hot button issues and this book has a few people won't like, so to save audible all the returns I hope you read this review. If man/man upsets you greatly, don't get this book, it was light but it was there. If you have ever expereinced the death of a child don't get this book. For everyone else who likes a steamy book with a great plot then go for it, it really was good, number 2 is already downloaded!
