FREAKIN best!!

This is now officially my FAVORITE K.A novel. Maaaaaan, I don't even know where to begin. 1. Humor. 2. Great narrator that handled the accents and cultural voice nuances like a BOSS. 3. Real talk story that I can relate to. 4. I was utterly captivated the whole time as usual. 5. Loved how old characters made it all the more better (even for those who may not have read the other books). LOOOOVED this book. I was ready to shout and cry at the end. Now that's a HEA.

Great addition to the series :D

4.5-5 stars

This was a great story! I really loved Ty and Lexie, they're such a great pair that I was rooting for them from pretty much the beginning.

Lexie is a great female lead. I think she ties Lauren (from Sweet Dreams) for my favorite KA leading lady so far. She's sweet, sassy and a total goof...a very fun leading lady. Her humor and sweetness are even more surprising when you find out the bad that's plagued her most of her life. One of the bad things in her life was an unfortunate and unwanted relationship to a bad guy named Shift. In an interest of staying on his good side Lexie agreed to do him a favor, which she believes is picking a guy up from prison and taking him where he wants to go. This is how she meets Ty and it ends up there's a little more to the arrangement than just a ride.

Ty is a cool leading man and I thought he was great. It didn't hurt that I've heard KA said she pictured Ty looking like Dwayne Johnson so I had that picture in my mind throughout the story. :D Ty's been through a lot in his life, the most recent of which was being falsely imprisoned for 5 years. At first he's very closed up and doesn't trust easily which is understandable. He arranges for some help once he gets out of prison and through this ends up meeting Lexie. He manages to get her to agree to an arrangement where she'll stay with him and help him with his plans.

Although they start out as business, pretty soon Ty and Lexie are starting to feel things for each other. Ty has the hardest time with this because of his trust issues but it's really cool to see Lexie pull him out of his shell and Ty start to open up and live again. Unfortunately Ty suffers from a couple of bouts of relationship dumbassedness and things aren't always smooth but KA did a great job growing their relationship and dealing with both of their demons from the past. Once they got on the same page I really loved the couple that Ty and Lexie became.

There is a secondary plot line with the work that's being done trying to clear Ty's name and issues with dirty cops that don't want to truth to come out. Very cool (if a bit traumatic) end to the story and it sets up for the next book so I'll be reading that right away. :D

Great story with a great couple. I love the whole series. I"ll be rereading this in the future. I"d recommend it. 2 thumbs up! :D

Great Addition Worth Every Minute Listening Time

What did you love best about Lady Luck?

The give and take between Lexi and Ty was everything. It was fun, sexy, annoying, loving, frustrating-between the characters & this reader.

It was also fun to see main characters from previous books dropping in.

What other book might you compare Lady Luck to and why?

The series as a whole is great so far. I'm not sure if there are more than 4 books in the series..I hope there are more.

The focus on the town and its people is similar to Lauren Dane Brown family series. The subject matter similar to Maya Banks but not as intense or graphic (maybe because the length of the books.)

Have you listened to any of Emma Taylor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've only heard her in this series. She is above average and I enjoy her performances.

Any additional comments?

NOTES: Adult themes/situations, strong language and a bit of violence

Good story

It was a wonderful story and funny as hell. There is such thing as too much detail, I can usually deal with it in other KA books, but this one just seemed ridiculously detailed.

Love at 1st sight.

Story is the classical love at 1st sight. Still the story covered all the bases. Romance, sex, road trip, action, & adventure.

Narrator does an awesome job!! I've listened to her before. I will be looking for more books that she narrates.

Always like continuous romance series!

Really liked the story and the performance but the author need NOT always add cursing to the dialogue. Everyone doesn't 't speak that way all the time. Liked the way she has blended one story to another. Great romantic and mysterious who done it.

An absolute favorite

I have yet to find a Kristen Ashley book I didn't love. This one is full of action and romance. Plenty of humor to go around too. This book has everything you expect from KA. There are several parts where you cannot help but feel what the character is feeling. This book is worth re-reading. Emma Taylor does an excellent job with the narration and giving characters different voices so you can distinguish them from one another. 5 stats all across the board.
