This story keeps you interested

There were many twists in this book. It kept my attention. The characters different personalities and their interactions was communicated effectively by the reader. I enjoy how well all of the stories are interwoven and other characters from this series flit in and out, aligning with their own tales

Perfect amount of intrege and passion

I loved both these characters. The entire book was steamy almost from the get go. However that didn't take away from the plot. This is probably my favorite of the series so far.

extremely rewarding romance performance

I highly recommend this audiobook in every possible way. the story is so satisfying and realistic. the narrator has so many amazing voices that make one feel as if they are living this story.

I have bought some of Kresley Cole's books and reading it in my head is so NOT the same as this actor's incredible voice.

I think Ms. Cole may be my favorite author ever. As a person with a degree in English, that comment means A LOT, believe me.

Robert Petkoff...OMG

Where does Kiss of a Demon King: Immortals After Dark, Book 7 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have a decent audible library building, Kiss of a Demon King would rank among my top 10.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Kiss of a Demon King: Immortals After Dark, Book 7?

When the Queen of Illusions took on a friggen dragon.

Which scene was your favorite?

I am torn between the moment I mentioned in the question above and the scene where our demon King is watching her dreams.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sometimes an Illusion is all you need.

Any additional comments?

Dear Robert Petkoff,

Thank you for existing.

That is all.

Will please BDSM listeners

The arch nemesis match-up was a cool idea, and I liked that Kresley Cole jumped straight away into Rydstrom’s story after Cadeon’s because Woede’s about-face towards the end of book 6 left me dying to know the cause. This installment was probably one of the hottest thus far, but that actually worked against KISS OF A DEMON KING; the couple felt as though they were an island unto themselves instead of part of the Lore, and the quest for the crown was downgraded to a minor concern. This novel was second to last for me in the IMMORTALS AFTER DARK series.

I don’t do well with plots that revolve around one setting, and granted this tale had more than that; however the bulk of the events unfolded either in Sabine’s dungeon, or Rydstrom’s demon camp, and it grew stale after a while. And, not just because of the limited scope, but also due to the monotony of the action. Sex is inherently redundant as is torture—cut, thrust, repeat—so after a couple of chapters of this, déjà vu set in. It also isolated the characters from the rest of the IAD universe, and as a result this audio felt disconnected from the whole.

Villains can be as captivating as protagonists, so Sabine’s evilness wasn’t the trait that turned me off from her plight. I liked that she stayed true to her course, and that finding love didn’t change her basic nature. Rothkalina never denied that she was a liar, a thief, and a master manipulator, but when the gloves came off there was nothing extra beneath the surface. Her sole redeeming quality was her devotion to her sister, Lanthe, otherwise there was absolutely no depth to her personage. She was just an empty shell of discontent.

I’ve been admiring Rydstrom from afar for several installments now, and was looking forward to seeing the Demon King in all of his raging glory. Imagine my disappointment when he spent the majority of this audiobook chained to a bed! He was all bark, and no bite; the only place that his furor came through was in Robert Petkoff’s narration which hasn’t wavered in its awesomeness since IAD #1. This was the second so-so volume that was much improved by his performance, and I’m grateful for his steadfastness at times like this when Cole’s writing slips.

KISS OF A DEMON KING will please BDSM listeners, but frustrate substance seekers. ~3.5 Stars

Great Performance by Robert Petkoff As Always!

I love, love, love Robert Petkoff's narrations of the IAD series. Love the accents, the life he puts into the character, etc. The Kiss of the Demon king story is a continuation of Dark Desires After Dusk which follows Cadeon's brother Rydstrom Woede and Sabine (love the names by the way). If you haven't listened to the Dark Desires After Dusk first, then you'll be lost with this book. Sabine's character puts herself so high on a pedestal, it's hilarious to listen to. Love the story about demons and sorceri, but I can't wait to get to the other books back to the Valkyries and Vampires. Keep them coming KC and RP! Love this series!

Another great book in a great series!

Kresley Cole never fails in writing an engaging tail that you don't want to put down. I love that many of her female characters very strong both physically and mentally. Sabian is definitely one of those characters. At first I didn't think I was going to like her, but as the layers peeled away I started to really enjoy her character. Rydstrom is definitely hot and domineering, but still a caring tough guy. I really liked their chemistry and tension. I may listen to this one again!

One of my very favorite books.

So much so that I’ve reread it several times. I probably will do so again.

I discovered, The “Immortals After Dark,” late in the series.

That first book was about a badassed Valkyrie named, ‘Ragin the Radiant.’ And I was hooked.

It was Book #11 “Dreams of a Dark Warrior.” Of the, “Immortals After Dark Series.”

I immediately sought out and read the entire series, from start to ….

Well, I do sorely wish author, Kresley Cole, would do that…finish.
But I fear that she's finished with #IAD

Because every single book she’s finished, is simply so delicious.

I'm sure you'll find it so. @kresleyCole

My favorite series.

Each book keeps me fully entertained. Humor, angst, action and paranormal elements in every volume. Excellent reading/listening.
