So detail intense

It's a good -well, ok- story.
And, the narrator fits it just fine.
Having said that, my goodness, the amount of sheer detail the author includes about every single thing rivals that of Tim Clancy's novels.
For reading, it's probably not so noticeable, because skimming is possible.
However, in audible, that detail is tedious.

What happened to the flowers?

i enjoyed the book except for 2 things. 1. Marcus brought flowers to the musicale but what happened to them was never mentioned and 2. the bickering between the cousins at rehearsal did nothing to advance the story.

Loving This “Musical” Family!

I just love how Julia Quinn pulled the Smythe-Smiths straight out of the Bridgerton books and gave them their own stories! These ladies truly deserve them. After being made fun of through many Bridgerton books, we finally get to see that these ladies have a life of their own - that “one who knows how bad they are” and the other ones that really have no clue (according to Lady Danbury)! Great to see Lady Danbury again too!

Classic Quinn!

Great characters, great plot, witty dialogue. What's not to like? You really can't go wrong with Quinn.

What am I missing?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Everything but the narrator who was wonderful as always. I'm sorry but this book was painful to get through. It was so boring.....very slow moving...not enough of anything. I must be missing something because so many reviewers loved this book.

A lovely story!

Just Like Heaven was a breath of fresh air to me. After reading the same dreary story lines again and again, this one finally made me smile! The characters were endearing, the story enchanting and Julia Quinn had me wrapped around this quaint little family from the get go. Give Just Like Heaven a read if you want to be sucked into a wonderful little story!!

In the Bridgerton world

If you have just finished the Bridgerton novels and want to read more from that world I recommend this book. There is some overlap in characters and you get to see the inner workings of a notable Bridgerton event. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Julia Quinn

Sweet historical romance

The Smythe-Smith series is a sweet and at times comical romance series. Just like heaven is the first installment and sets the stage for the series. While it is not my favorite of the series, it is an enjoyable read. Both H/H are very likeable and there is no angst ( a ++++ IMO).
