As assistant buyer for the world's second-largest Christmas store, Kelsey Parker feels like a holiday harlot. She's contractually obligated to promote the yuletide season. All. Year. Long. And it's taking a toll on her spirit. But when her clueless, self-absorbed boyfriend goes on their long-anticipated romantic vacation - without her! - Kelsey is beyond disappointed to find herself tromping through the Bell Harbor snow instead of lounging on a tropical beach.
Drew Hampton is considered quite a catch among the Bell Harbor bachelorettes, but when his high school dream girl, Kelsey Parker, shows up at his grandfather's Christmas tree lot complaining about her love life, he decides it's long past time to get her under the mistletoe himself.
As things heat up between the two, a surprise visitor arrives, making Kelsey an offer she can't quite believe. Now she must decide what matters most, and she just may discover the key to her happiness.

Ho, ho, ho my gosh! This holiday romantic comedy novella had me laughing and giggling hysterically with its witty lines and characters from the Bell Harbor series! The romance is sweet and overall a great addition to the series. I highly recommend you begin with the first book, but if you just want a taste of Tracy Brogan's writing, this may be a great way to sample her writing style.
The narrators were great, reflecting the characters personalities and age
In this Christmas novella, Kelsey Parker suddenly realizes what a jerk her boyfriend and boss is when he goes on their vacation--alone--after she is forced to cancel due to a family emergency. Making matters worse, he then has the gall to ask her to work on a huge project while he and the rest of his family are away! When an old friend re-enters her life and shows her how a woman should be loved, sparks fly. In this sweet and uplifting novella, Kelsey is inspired by her new love and the magic of Christmas to turn her life around. The story is pretty sappy and predictable, and Blake is so clueless he becomes unbelievable. For some reason, however, I did keep listening, so the story and the narrator were able to keep my attention. I have not read any other books in the Bell Harbor series and had no trouble following the plot, however, it is possible I would have enjoyed the novella more if I had read the previous books.
The story was cute, but the narrator's voice was not! It was not bad while narrating and doing Kelsey's voice, but the other characters' voices were horrendous!
