Baby it's cold outside

Listen to where the Macgregors began in America. Meet the AUNTS and Uncles who influence the following generations. Good story and great performance.

"There's a Lass!"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

this is a classic Nora Roberts romance. Note: must use new 1.25x speed to really enjoy this short story. If you don't like short stories, then this is not for you.

What other book might you compare In from the Cold to and why?

This is a continuation of N.R. Rebellion, as some of the characters were brought in to cheer up this wonderful Christmas story. This has an uplifting feeling where as Rebellion, not too be missed, was a bit more historical but still a classic romance.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am a big fan of ms Dawe works, and her Scott's brogue is the best along with any young childs voice. Don't miss the MacGregor series, modern day classic romance at this best.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes, when our hero talks to his filly.

Any additional comments?

This story will leave you saluting our flag in your heart!

Nora and her Irish that has lived in her head

our narrator was very good. Even when he was imitating an Irish or Scottish accent it wasn't overbearing and was pretty close right on. Some of them try too hard and make the accent where a person couldn't swallow it if they had a gun to their head. this one did not drag on, did not add anything or take away anything. He was right on and right there. obviously I enjoyed him very much as a narrator. Now to the book. In the first couple of chapters I wasn't so sure I was going to like this and be able to finish it. It's extremely unusual that I don't finish the book. But I kept on and by chapter 4 or 5, I was Head Over Heels into this book, and he didn't forget a thing. I was disappointed when I saw the book was only 11 chapters but she wrapped it up good so that nothing was left dangling at the end of the book. it ended where it felt like it should have. that's all for now because it is 2 a.m. where I live and I am going to look for a book number 12. I love Nora Roberts and I love that she writes so many serial books. When I found the McGregor's had so many I was Head Over Heels and jumping up and down which is not easy for a grandma. For a couple of years now I had tried nothing but Nora Roberts and only first serial books. I become so engrossed in the characters in a book and their lives that when it is over oh, I am disappointed and want more. I want to know more about these characters and what they did from here and where they went and how they did. So for now I'm reading nothing but her serial books, and the McGregor right now. Headed to book 12 not knowing how many books there are. I have yet to find a Nora Roberts book I have not like! And one of these days I would like to hear her explanation I'm going to the serial books and not just the individual ones.

In From the Cold

The beginning of the MacGregors in the United States. Not as interesting as the early books about the current family.

Storyline way to predictable, Characters Not very original, no real depth. Nora Robert's has so many more that were great reads.
