Scottish Dream

The narrator had an amazing Scottish accent, and made the men sounds like men! The story line was too good to be true!

Got to love a Scottish Laird

I really enjoyed this live story and make no mistake it was a love story. Kirsten Potter interpreted the words of this tale as I imagine they were intended when written. She impressed me with her accent and the change between characters was seamless. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and have since purchased the next two books in the series.

Great narrator and performance yet story line a pretty toned down Outlander. An enjoyable listen.

Love the work of Maya Banks

I absolutely love the audio books about the Mc Cabe Brothers. If you love a juicy Highland romance set way back in the day, then you are in for a treat! Maya Banks adds details to make her stories come alive in your head and fall head over heals for the main characters. Enjoy 😉

Hot!!

Those highlanders are soo committed to their clans, but love can overcome all things, and a independent woman can always capture a highlander's heart. Excellent book.

Wonderful series, well worth it!

I’m always worried about historical novels…will they get the language right, will they hold true to the themes of the period….but since it was Maya Banks I had to take a shot, and was NOT disappointed! Wonderful story, and series, that made me laugh and made me cry. Couldn’t have asked for more!

It’s like a Garwood with even more steam and action!

I loved this highlander tale and thought the narrator did an excellent job. In spite of narrating in an American accent, the Scottish dialogue was done very well. The writing in this was also superb! Maya Banks did a wonderful job of capturing the medieval highlands, the political machinations and how easily proofs can be skewed in the favor of those in power. Poor women being little more than pawns of course. In spite of this Maryn is such a fierce but innocent lady that she immediately put me in mind of Julie Garwood’s heroines ... and the hero was as Alpha and arrogant as any of her heroes. What I loved most thought was that you could palpably FEEL the love and devotion between Maryn and Ewan in spite of how their marriage began and Ewan’s ulterior motives. And then that climax with the “trial” and resulting events, wow, I was on the edge of my seat!
Some may be impatient with the first hour or two as they hero and heroine take a while to get together, but it does the job of setting up the necessary conflict and does so very evocatively! So I’d power through the first couple hours because this book is not to be missed!

Perfect! It had just enough, just enough, of action, sexy steamy hottt scenes!!! Love, passion, and let's not forget a Wonderful story to boot!!! Narration was Great! Two thumbs up! And I was really surprised because I had accidentally started with the third book and there was like next to No love/sex scene s and I know how Maya Banks can write so I was extremely dissatisfied so.....but this one turned it around.....
