Publisher's summary

So what if he's a bit older and usually regards a human female as dinner, not a dinner date? Yes, Roman Draganesti is a vampire, but a vampire who lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lopsided eater for all eternity.

Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan either... After witnessing a gruesome murder by the Russian mafia, she's next on their hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Roman's fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman from using his fangs on her...

too melodramatic

Shanna was exaggeratingly squeamish and H had a prolonged pity party. highlanders we're more. real and Gregory mother came across well.

Neat Idea, Good Story, less than stellar narration

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

As a read yes, as an audio...not so much.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire?

Vampire Sex...no spoilers from me.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Not sure, it just seemed flat.

Do you think How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not really, I think it's a neat idea and should let the reader imagine where it ends.

Wish I read the book.

A lesson in listening to a sample first. I liked the story well enough (could have done with a tad less "God's Blood"), but I was often distracted by the various accents. Hence, why I wish I read it instead. I'm sure it was no easy task for the narrator to switch between Hungarian, French, Russian, Scottish, American, etc. But I especially didn't like Roman's voice and its kind of big a problem since he was the male protagonist.

An enjoyable read

I thought that this story had some funny moments throughout. Not quite believable but still the story was quick and had something (action) going on that made it move along. I like how the vampire was a little nerdy with his career (I don't want to spoil it) I would have liked to know a little more about some things but maybe that's for another book.

Whiplash of the Heart

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The overall story was nice, but the continual 'oh I love him' /'oh I'm making a mistake' drove me nuts...

What could Kerrelyn Sparks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Cut back on the love/relationship flip flops, twice or three times in a book might be believable but 10-12 is an obvious plot device.

Fun listen

Good book, narration is good. The ending is corny. It held my attention and had good depth to the characters, would have like it to end better and possibly another book on their life together.

If Profanity is Called for, Please Use It

There were parts of the book I really enjoyed. But there were three issues that bugged me.

First, while I don't like books that have a bunch of unnecessary or unnaturally used profanity, when it makes sense and sounds natural, then use it. If I had to hear "God's Blood one more time I thought I would hurl my iPhone. Even a "Damn" would not have been amiss.

Next, I kept reading reviews about the book being funny. I didn't see much humor in the plot or the characters. The one obvious humorous reference was the trip to the dentist. And that wasn't cracking me up. Molly Harper does humorous vampires much funnier.

Finally, I didn't like the relationship between the heroine and her father. For some reason, that made me really uncomfortable.

Dialogue is Wanting

Deleting about half of the God's Blood curses would greatly improve the diaglogue. It's very irritating.
