Darkest Twists will Grip You
This book will bring you in. Big topics of sexual assault, childhood trauma, and kidnapping - I feel like there needs to be a trigger warning. There are many plot holes in this book that leave you wanting. I have so many questions and characters are pieced together too haphazardly with the exception of Sky and Holder. However, there are some seriously cringy moments in this book, where I was literally yelling at the audio book - too far, too far. But I will, give the author that this is one of her first books, (circa 2013), and as a former English it is not every day a book that surprises me. I just wish I would have been warned about the trauma experienced by the characters as a way to protect myself from how they opened me up too.

I loved it
Hopeless was amazing!!! Colleen Hoover has truly given a great meaning to the title "Hopeless". This is a story I can read over and over. "Hopeless" is one of a few books that I have read and made my eyes water. I was completely blow away by the story and characters, and I sure you will be too. The story grabs you from the beginning and will definitely hold you to the end. "Hopeless" is one book you will not put down. The story takes you through so many emotions and you feel all of the emotions that the characters in the book feel. "Hopeless" truly touches the heart, and if it doesn't touch yours maybe you don't have one. The story itself is such an inspiration and I think it has some of the most heartwarming conversations you will ever read in a book.

Riveting, emotionally touching story despite audio glitches
As with every Colleen Hoover novel I’ve consumed, or rather devoured with enthusiasm, this one did not disappoint. It was riveting and unfolded with emotional twists and compelling character dialogue. I was distracted by a clicking sound during the narration, almost like a computerized page turning or metronome sound, and many times the editing seemed to abruptly cut off the female narrator’s pronunciations of the male character’s dialogue. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
