Another great novel from Alexis Noelle

What did you love best about Heinous?

Another great novel from Alexis Noelle. I have read every book ever written by Alexis Noelle and I can say without a doubt that this is one of my favourites.
I fell in love with the characters and their storylines. Nikki and Twist had a way of sucking you in and made you never want to leave their story.
They is some undeniable chemistry that takes place throughout this novel, that keeps you turning the pages, desperately trying to figure out what will happen next.
I would definitely tell people about this book as well as some others by Alexis.

Bang!

This book really caught me by surprise. From the very beginning it had my full attention and I was drawn into the story sitting on the edge of my work chair!

This story is about Nikki and Twisted. They both have a horrible past and a lot of secrets. They meet by coincidence and their relation should only have been for a one-night-stand. However, they could both see themselves in each other and their realationship develops. Along with the story their secrets gets revealed and I had myself constantly thinking "What the hell happened to them??" I constantly wanted to know more of their story and I got it along the way.

The language is very harsh as it is in the MC environment and for people who hate their lives, but the author is great in her word play. I was amazed how she twisted the words around, making the story both compelling, devastating and funny at the same time. I love the writing style and I really want to read everything she's written!

The narrator Meghan Kelly is suberb as well. Wow, she's great with catching the FEEL of the words and story. She narrates with different voices and tones and I really found a new favorite narrator. She reminds me very much Tavia Gilbert, who is also one of my top favorites!

Everything was perfect for me in this book and the last hour made my stomach turn as final secrets and events gets revealed. Wow, I got to love Nikki and especielly Twisted, who is actually not that twisted when we get to know him.

A Twisted MC Story!

Wow, I love it when I come across a story or an author that exceeds my expectation of a good story. Heinous was a riveting, suspenseful, steamy MC story that totally captivated me, and had me hanging on each word, paragraph and chapter.

The sexual tension and chemistry between Nikki and Twisted was off the charts! Twisted was a tough and dominated character, who claimed Nikki early on, and loved to remind her of this every chance he got. The sex scenes between them were totally HOT! However, while Twisted was a dominate alpha male, he had true feelings for Nikki and would do anything for her.

Nikki was a unique character, she was stubborn, snarky and pushed Twisted buttons. Unfortunately, she has secretes and knows there time together is limited; however, until the sh** hits the fan, she is going to enjoy every minute with Twisted.

Heinous is packed full of suspense, drama, steamy sex with undertones of abuse, and danger that will have you feeling anxious, angry, and rooting for the H/h.

Meghan Kelly is becoming such an accomplished performer. I've listened to several stories narrated by her, and she always doe a good job with both female and male voices. In addition, she uses the right amount of tones, and inflection, to convey the different emotions throughout the story.

This is a slightly darker, edgy MC story, and is perfect for those who like their stories on the dark side.

MC Romance alpha hero lovers will not want to miss Heinous. Featuring a feisty heroine who decides to indulge in a decadent fling before she succumbs to her inevitable, terrible plight, Heinous presents us with a worthy heroine who inadvertently finds her biker in shining (or, perhaps in this case, leather) armor.

The true background of the heroine, Nikki, is kept a secret throughout most of the story both from the hero and the reader/listener. The one thing we do know is that Nikki is trying to enjoy her last few days of freedom. Although she is looking forward to making the most of these last few days, she is equally resigned that there is no way out for her, so she decides to keep this fact hidden even from the one man who makes her wish her future were different.

A chance encounter brings MC member "Twist" and Nikki together. But one time is not enough for Twist and he finds himself wanting more from this unique and self-confident woman, even if he can tell she is keeping something secret. But Twist has his own secrets and he's perfectly happy giving her the time Nikki needs to get comfortable enough to reveal what she has been hiding.

Will Nikki finally reveal her secret before it is too late? What is she keeping from Twist? And will Twist, and the Deathstalkers MC, be able to save Nikki from her bad fortune before it's too late?

Meghan Kelly delivers a talented narration in Heinous. I loved that she gave each character a personality specific voice that helped me easily envision the character and brought the story to life. From the tough sounding Twist, who I could totally see as a rough and yet sexy biker, to the spunky Nikki, Ms. Kelly nails each character. Ms. Kelly even managed to impart a more vulnerable sounding tone to Nikki's voice when she is facing the more action and danger filled scenes in this book.

Ms. Kelly also paces her delivery optimally, which allows the listener to sit back and enjoy the story, and sets each scene with the appropriate mood by convincingly varying her pace to match the emotion being conveyed in the scene.

Perhaps my only observation is that there were a number of places in the audiobook where the volume seems to lessen for a few seconds--almost like in the editing of the story a small portion may have been overlayed into an existing segment. I didn't factor this into the narration grade, as I believe it is more of a production effect.

All in all, I enjoyed Heinous and look forward to more of the Deathstalkers MC series. I also really liked Ms. Kelly's pleasing voice, and thought she did a great job in telling this story. I can't wait to listen to more of Ms. Kelly's narrations.

I am on the fence. I enjoyed the book but I didn’t love it and that’s ok right. I don’t have to love everything I read. I sure liked it. I felt for these characters and what they had to go through.

Twisted… Wow, he really is lmao. Perfect name for him. I loved how he didn’t waver in his lust/love for Nikki. He isn't your typical leading man either. I think that's part of his charm.

Nikki, this girl my heart goes out to her. Not only with what she gets put through but from her past. If that doesn’t mess someone up I don’t’ know what will. And Daddy yeah grade A Douche!
Communication people, I wanted to shout this out many times! But you got to keep us working for it right.

Heinous in three words would be Entertaining, Gritty and Dark!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Twisted was my favorite character because even though he was a bad ass MC, he was also loving and caring.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Meghan Kelly did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not to give anything away but the part of the book that moved me was when Twisted went after Nikki.

Awesome Dark MC Book

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review via audiobook boom. First I must say the narrator added so much to the story. This is a tale about Twisted (H) and Nikki(h) and what their love was able to do for both of them. It is filled with suspense, danger and hot sex scenes. Although Nikki is flawed Twisted does not allow he to be anyone but his. He makes that plain almost from the beginning. He has a dark side but Nikki knows that she belongs to him. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel and although it takes a few twists and turns they find it. If you like MC books with a little of the dark side thrown in then you will love this book.

Hooks you from the first chapter!

I was immediately intrigued by the backstory of both the main characters! As their relationship grows all the possibilities kept going through my mind of what the secrets were.
Every time Nikki's thoughts were whispered by the narrator, I laughed so hard, because she would say what we truly think as women!
The narrator did a great job of portraying both Nikki and Twisted. I'd definitely buy the next book in the series. It was a great story, and definitely worth staying up late to finish!

Loved this listen!

I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning. This is one I didn't want to put down; I wanted to sit in my car instead of going into work & I love my job! I wish book 1 of this series was narrated by Meghan Kelly.

Nikki and Twisted (Cameron)

This was a really good book. Nikki had many secrets but fell for Twisted who was from another MC club. They connected immediately. When Nikki ends up back with her horrible father, she is punished, chained and left naked. Will Twisted save her in time? This was a thoroughly enjoyable book. I love what Twisted did to her father in the end. Totally deserved it.
