Jenny Dawson moved to Nashville to write music, not get famous. But when her latest record goes double platinum, Jenny's suddenly one of the town's biggest stars - and the center of a tabloid scandal connecting her with a pop star she's barely even met. With paparazzi tracking her every move, Jenny flees to a remote mansion in Louisiana to write her next album. The only hiccup is the unexpected presence of a brooding young caretaker named Noah, whose foul mouth and snap judgments lead to constant bickering - and serious heat.
Noah really should tell Jenny that he's Preston Noah Maxwell Walcott, the owner of the estate where the feisty country singer has made her spoiled self at home. But the charade gives Noah a much-needed break from his own troubles, and before long, their verbal sparring is indistinguishable from foreplay. But as sizzling nights give way to quiet pillow talk, Noah begins to realize that Jenny's almost as complicated as he is. To fit into each other's lives, they'll need the courage to face their problems together before the outside world catches up to them.

"I couldn't read this fast enough! Lauren Layne created witty and well-developed characters who pulled at my heartstrings and had me falling in love over and over again! I highly recommend Good Girl, one of my favorites of the year!" (Brooke Cumberland, USA Today best-selling author)
Wasn't sure about this book after reading the synopsis and the lack of audible reviews posted at the time. I couldn't tell if this was worth my time and $/credit. However all that being said I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. This was such a sweet story but had a dirty side as well. Overall it was a cute lighthearted story that's funny, sexy at times, but not overly so, and keeps your attention from start to finish. The narrators are amazing and only add depth to the characters. This book is worth a credit/$.
Started out OK, but the 'story' deteriorates' fast. Why would anyone like the male lead - a man who degrades a woman is NOT sexy. And on what planet would a woman think she can get 'revenge' on a man by giving him a BJ. Just stupid. I want my credit back.
It's all about romance in my library! I have a wonderful husband, children and my grandchildren they are my rock.
Funny! Sexy! Entertaining!
I can't think of any other book to compare.
Nope first time. They were good.
This is the first time I have listened to this author. It was great. The narration was wonderful . Thanks for a very enjoyable listen.
Jenny, the hot new country singer on the run from the paparazzi over false allegations of sexual trysts, hides in the Louisiana back country where she meets Noah. Like oil and water at first, they slowly and sexually build up a heat between them that cannot be ignored. this was a well-written, very well narrated audio book that is entirely satisfying. the sex scenes are hot without being clinical. A most enjoyable listen!
This story was sexy, subtle and made the characters seem so realistic. The heroine is a famous singer who gets falsely accused in the tabloids of having an affair with a married star. It ruins her "good girl" reputation and she flees back to a place where she once was happy. There she meets (unknowingly) the owner of the Louisiana mansion she runs to. He is really a wealthy person but he pretends to just be the caretaker. They develop a relationship that soon becomes tested when the truth is accidentally revealed. Love the ending!
