It's been four weeks since Ember Brycin witnessed what her powers are capable of. The Electrical Current Storm (ECS) has turned Seattle, Washington into a natural disaster zone. The death toll is in the thousands with countless others homeless and hungry.
And Ember is the one who caused it. Something she will have to live with every day.
Those people who were unable to escape either turned quickly into gangs or live in shelters. Ember, on the other hand, can't do either. With a price on her head and a Dark Dweller on her ass, she is constantly on the move. Both Light and Dark are hunting her for their own purpose to use her as a weapon or a pawn in the war between the Unseelie King of the Dark and the Seelie Queen of the Light.
Em needs help but doesn't know who to trust: Lars, the mystery man Torin told her to find? Torin, the Seelie Queen's personal knight, who has sworn to keep Em safe? Or Eli, who wants to turn her over to the Unseelie King, but whom she has an undeniable, intense connection with?
No matter what she chooses she will probably lose - her life or everything and everyone she loves.

I enjoyed the first book but the second book was even better. Engaging story line and many twists. I hope audible doesn't keep us waiting for the remaining books in the series for too long.
This is the second installment of the Darkness Series, and is one of the BEST paranormal /fantasy romance reads I've came across in a long time, actually it's now one of my favorite series! The plot thickens and twists with angst, love, deaths and mind boggling moments that has me wanting more, more more!!!! I can't wait for the next book, Ms. Marie has me hooked on her amazing, fascinating, Fay, Darkling, forest creators and many more in her interesting world she's created in her Darkness Series.
This, the second book in the darkness series continues Ember's story. Can't wait to listen to the next one.
Moving on to book 3 & I still have the same question as I did in book 1.
Who is Ember's father?? Ever freaking time Mark is mentioned you'd think it would make her wonder who her father is....
I am assuming it's the most obvious of Demon's, but if that turns out true then that leads to me not liking this story if the reasoning isn't explained & explained well.
I loathe the show the Bachelorette & Ember is making me feel like I am reading a story about a show I hate.
I really loved it this is only my 3rd Audio book that I have finished to the end and it was brilliant. I have read the book but needed something to listen to while painting so choose this and was not disappointed.
This is a decent series with a pretty good plot. But the author is incredibly long winded and takes a circuitous route to get to the point. I skipped ahead several times and was still able to keep up with the plot. I'm just not sure about whether or not I want to go on in the series. Ember is very young and I have hard time following her decision making process without screaming in frustration. I simply can't read YA books.
Mama Reads Hazel Sleeps owner/blogger, lover of the written and narrated word, if you write it they will review.
I hereby admit I am completely hooked on this series! It's got all the classic elements of a great paranormal fantasy with tons of tasty tension too. Each time I thought things couldn't get wilder they did exactly that. I was riveted from start to finish and scant wait to listen to the next book!
I don't know how she does it, but Stacey Marie Brown always keeps me eager for more even when she throws horrifying plot twists, keep-you-up mysteries, and gut - wrenching emotions in with the romance, triumphs and support between her seductive boys, kick-butt ladies and amusing mystical side characters. I get totally roped in, and with Michelle Sparks' amazing narration, I found excuses to work *longer* each day so I could keep listening. She has a great talent of making the story so vivid I feel a part of it. Can't wait for the release of the next book on audio!
Audio Reviewer under Audio Flow. I enjoy delving into the imagination of writers and hearing it read aloud by seasoned and new audio actors.
What makes your favorite series even better? An awesome narrarator. I love the way Michelle brings my favorite and not so favorite characters to life! I love this series and being able to enjoy the audio version does my heart happy. Can't wait for Dwellers of Darkness to release!!!
I read the first book of the trilogy on my iPad but using audible for the sequel was brilliant! I could multi task and the narrator was really good. Very enjoyable!
