The sex is meh, the story is not well written, repetitive and with no depth.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Less literate and very sheltered people

What do you think your next listen will be?

    No idea

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Narrator was pretty good though the voice of the main character was obnoxious paired with the repetitive word choice written by the author. I could scream if I have to hear the words "bemused" or "kinky fuckery" again.

    "Good story poor narrator"
Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

From James yes but I'm not sure about Battoe

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades Darker to and why?

I've never read anything anything quite like this series.

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

    Possibly

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I think it should have been read by James.

    Any additional comments?

The plot in this one is much better than book # 1.

"I'm sooooo glad I read it first !!!!!!"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am very disappointed in the audio version of this book. What is suppose to be an erotic love story comes off as a bland tale of two people. Unfortunely, the audio version destroys the intent and the true nature of this book. Do not waste your money!!! Buy the book and read it. You will enjoy it better.

If you’ve listened to books by E. L. James before, how does this one compare?

As long as Becca Battoe is not the narrator

How could the performance have been better?

A more experienced narrator with experience reading erotica.

    "Smut at its finest again"
Would you listen to Fifty Shades Darker again? Why?

This was painful to listen to. Mostly because of the robotic reader.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I guess Ana. Mostly because you see everything from her point of view.

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

Only if I have to, to listen to the last book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No.

The female lead in this book is annoying. Don't waste your credit or your time. I can't get those wasted hours back.

    "Fun and Captivating!"
If you could sum up Fifty Shades Darker in three words, what would they be?

    Spellbinding!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades Darker?

When Christian shows up - from Tango going down.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

She had great voices and held your interest.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wow -- It was hours and hours. I really enjoyed it being read.

    "JERK!!!"

Why oh why did I get the second book after I knew.. I KNEW.. what the first book was like. I guess Ive got a bit of a masochistic side to me. *sigh* Anyways, I laughed (Mostly at the over the top sex scenes) I cried, (mostly because I used a precious credit on this drabble) I listened to it spanning 2 days (kinda like pulling off a band-aid, get the pain over with all at once instead of dragging it out). Christian is a jerk plain and simple. He treats Ana like crap when he doesnt get his way and he gets so needy he crosses over into creepy obsession mode with her. I can easily see him losing it and going psycho and killing her if she ever tries to leave him. I was hoping he would gain a redeeming quality somewhere in the book but it just didnt happen. Also, Ana takes to calling him 50 which started *In da club* by 50 cent in my mind EVERY TIME she did it and put images of 50 cent playing Christian Grey in my head. It did make the sex scenes a bit more interesting however. Ana really should have gone with Jose' in the first place. They wouldve had a much much healthier relationship. I feel like Christian was trying to do to Ana what Mrs. Robinson did to do to him at 15. She had no previous sexual experience so he had a clean slate to work with. Nice way to warp a girl Christian...

3rd book to finish the series... hhmm.. I think ill have to wait awhile before I decide whether im going to attempt it or not...

    "odd"
Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

She ruins Christian Grey's voice making him sounds like a really an old fat slow man, with very little energy. An odd Rich phony person. Makes for a humorous narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Ana

How could the performance have been better?

Not use such a old slow "phony" odd unreal voice, for Mr Grey.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    yes

    Any additional comments?

This is a great humorous story. It does have it's dark side, but with the voices Becca Battoe uses, I can't take it too seriously. I have read this book series at least 25 possibly more times, and never imagined the male voices so unreal.

    "A Must Read!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Darker to be better than the print version?

I loved this book, especially the Audio version! This second book had a plot and it was very enjoyable to the point that I had to finish the series!

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It made the book very enjoyable!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the book and could not wait to read the finally book.
