Taryn Warner is a wolf shifter with extraordinary healing skills - and serious problems. First, her father is determined that she mate for life with a wolf shifter named Roscoe Weston, whom the feisty Taryn can’t stand. To make matters worse, she’s also been kidnapped by Trey Coleman, a dangerous alpha male from another pack. And as much as she wants to resist Trey, Taryn is incredibly, maddeningly attracted to him. When he makes her a tempting proposal that will benefit both of them, the strong-willed healer has to decide whether escaping an unwelcomed bond with Roscoe is worth the risks of mating with Trey, no matter how temporary their allegiance is intended to be.

Interesting story that is captivating from the get-go. The characters & relationships evolve from self discovery, not angst & whining. The steamy sex adds to the story. I liken this one to Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison - another one of my favorites - a story & place I would like to be a part of. I will be listening to this one again & again and I have already purchased 50 credits this year alone. I will be watching for more in this series!
This book ranks rather high. I was skeptical about this book, but right after I started listening to it, I was hooked. I always try to figure out where the story will go, but each time I thought I knew what was going to happen, I was surprised. The narrator was wonderful. I especially loved Taryn's sense of humor and her relationship with Grandmother Gretta. A good love story which included some great laughs, great comebacks, some tears and sexy steamy content. Loved it and looking forward to book 2 Wicked Cravings.
Taryn's comebacks. Narrator Jill Redfield knows how to deliver a line.
I enjoyed Taryn's sense of humor, Trey, but Grandmother Gretta is a kick.
I recommend this book to those who love paranormal romance and like to laugh and cry while listening to a book.
Give me water to swim and surf in. That with a glass of white wine and the sun. That's heaven.
This book definately was a paranormal romance book with shifters, super sexy alpha males, kick-butt action, intrigue and behind the scenes politics. It had sex, humor, sex, lots of one liners and sex. Oh yes, did I mention the sex. This book is definately not for those who shy away from steamy sex scenes and off color (dirty) talk. It seemed like there was the initial sex scene and than continual sex scenes through most of the book, before the lead characters began to really get down and dirtier. Great narration and great one liners.
It could have used more story to go along with the sex scenes, but over all, it was a fun listen.
Book was witty and funny and I couldn't stop smiling or lay it down. As always Jill Redfield does an excellent performance and I cannot wait for more books of her, as I already listened to all she has read. I hope Suzanne Wright will come out with a bunch more of the Books and may they be made to audiobooks very soon. I enjoyed the easy read and the characters and the comedy. Well done.
I WAS SUPRISED HOW MUCH I LIKED THIS START TO A NEW SHIFTER SERIES. THE STORY LINE WAS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WITHOUT GOING TO FAR OUTSIDE THE GENRE.
LOVED THEM ALL CANT WAIT TILL NEXT PACK MEMBER STORY.
REDFIELD DID A GREAT JOB ON BOTH MALE AND FEMALE VOICES. ALL THE CHARACTERS VOICES WERE EASILY DISTINGUISABLE FROM EACH OTHER.
YA WHEN SHE KICKED THAT BITCH'S ASS.
IF YOU LIKE LARA ADRIANS BREED SERIES THEN YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT WRIGHTS "HERE BE SEXIST VAMPIES" SERIES ITS GREAT. ITS NOT OUT IN AUDIO FOMAT YET BUT I HOPE IT DOES.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
I am totally in Love with this book. I am still Hot and Tingling all over and this is 10 hours after finishing the story. This is the very first book to do this to me.. Yes i have listened to lot's of fulfilling great books but this one is all I totally needed in one HOT Package. I am first in line for the next in the series and will happily fight my way to the front of the cue if need be - Low Grrrr. :)
Based on reviews of this audiobook, I was expecting something decent. No such luck here! The narrator was tolerable but the book was terrible. The characters were flat, the plot lacking, and the book was generally overwritten with a grueling pace. I found myself skipping whole chapters just to get on with it. The sex scenes were hilarious - in the bad porn sort of way. And the "tension" between the characters was contrived. The author's juvenile writing style was completely annoying. Feral Sins may take the award for the most references and analogies to sh*t in one book. A word which rightly sums up the book.
Normally I have nothing against sex scenes, but this book had - I am sorry to say- too many of them, and even though they to some degree do describe the relationship between the main characters, they began to repeat them self. Yes, the sex in this book is about dominance, and yes she will never beg -got it after the first few sex scenes. No need to repeat that over and over just varying the positions and surroundings!!! And if you take away the sex there is not much story left.
More story! The universe is good, and the characters interesting -or would be if we ever got a chance to know them better, and not just the main characters. And them we only get to know as sexual beings with mating issues. Also, The first part of the book had some nice swearing I really enjoyed, but then later on most of the swearing had subsided, too bad.
She read the book very well, and did justice to all the swearing :)
At first a little interest, but then just disappointment.
Didn't finish the book!
I like Fantasy & Science Fiction but not into Zombie. Due to Health issues, listen to Audiobooks/read ebooks where I can enlarge the print
The story is at best equal to a low end Feehan novel which even at their worst are much more polished than this. I found my self hard put to garner interest in finishing this one and made several attempts to do so.
The excessive, frequent, unnecessary use of the F word and similar words and the frequency of the sex scenes places this book firmly in erotica rather than fantasy. Don't get me wrong I can see where such words could be used to effect in a story but this one goes way overboard.
Remove the sex scenes and you loose at least half of this book and loose very little or nothing from the plot.
I can almost relate to the female lead but not to the Neanderthal male lead and of course they both do stupid things at inappropriate times to cause issues and problems in spite of being aware they should not be doing such things.
The story it's self holds nothing new in relation to were lore or in the story it is pretty much a rehash of the same regurgitated plot with heaps of sex and 4 letter wording thrown in for good measure.
I have as I said I have nothing against crude language used in context or to decently written sex scenes so I can only assume by the high reviews others have given this book i must be missing something.
Obviously this book was not for me but it is just as obviously other listeners cup of tea
This to my mind is more B grade erotica meets were wolf
Nice cover art. I would have give this a straight 2 but the narrator did a reasonable job given the book she ask to narrate
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
good listen...lots going on and wonderful characters,so more books to come!
good reader...big range, but it was the author dialogue that made this story. Fast and snappy. I have already downloaded #2.
pretty much did listen in one sitting
