Everything's bigger in Texas - including romance, magic, and danger!
Katie Chandler has fled fast-paced Manhattan and returned home to a simpler life, working at her family's feed-and-seed store in Cobb, Texas. In a painfully selfless gesture, Katie had left the sexy wizard Owen Palmer to battle his demons in the magical realm–after all, Katie just seemed to attract evil, which only made Owen's job a lot harder. But now it seems that trouble has followed her home: Despite the fact that Merlin, Katie's old boss at Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc., has assured her that Cobb is free of enchantment, (magically speaking), Katie begins to notice curious phenomena. Cobb is being plagued by a series of inexplicable petty crimes and other devilish mischief, and after her experiences in Manhattan, Katie knows "unauthorized magic" when she sees it. As this new darkness strikes deep in the heart of Texas, Owen appears (literally) to investigate. Now Katie's friends and family must show the bad guys why it's bad luck to hex with Texas, while Katie and Owen combine their strengths like never before to uncover a sinister plot before evil takes root in the Lone Star State.

Now we meet Katie's family and her memorable Granny who is a hoot. Love Granny!!! Enchanted Inc. is the fourth in the series from author Shanna Swendson. This is a fun chick series that is a mystery, an adventure, and a romantic comedy which is lighthearted, magical, and fun.
There are characters you'll love and remember. The heroin, Katie, is “completely ordinary” in a universe of magic. This is a good thing.
For adults the series is “Alice in Wonderland” and “Harry Potter” all rolled into one. It is a mystical romp and a fun escape. Read and enjoy.
Yes! Loved it!
I've read the other books in the series and she is getting better.
This was my favorite book of the series so far. I loved meeting Katie's family, especially her Granny. It reminded me of my extremely close knit family and the tiny town we live and farm in. The character developments were interesting and the plot moved a little quicker this time. It didn't feel like it was creeping along for no reason like in parts of the previous books. I can't wait to read the next one!
The original story (even though you can see influences from Harry Potter/LOTR throughout the series).
Only in this series, she is very consistent with her performance, very easy to understand.
author of Lowcountry Legend's series
She kept me guessing this time, definitely getting better at plotting. This time I also found myself laughing out loud. I lover Katie's mother!
I recommend this book for people who are looking for some lighthearted fantasy with a twist of romance. .
All the Enchanted, Inc. books reminded me for Janet Evanovich Plum series, but this one even has Grandma.
After living in Texas for 25 years there were a few things that I really got a kick out of about Texas.
This continues the story of Owen and Katie. I wish there were more angst between them to build their relationship, but they basically just pick up where they left off, except they're in Texas. I'm afraid to say that I may have found an example of two boring characters as protagonists in a series. I still like them, but they sure aren't very interesting people when they're together. They act more like brother and sister than boyfriend and girlfriend.
Seeing Katie in her home town.
She does accents well.
I'm not sure. It could end where it is and be fine.
The characters and how the story going
