Publisher's summary

When Nell Channing arrives on charming Three Sisters Island, she believes that she's finally found refuge from her abusive husband - and from the terrifying life she fled so desperately eight months ago.

But even in this quiet, peaceful place, Nell never feels entirely at ease. Careful to conceal her true identity, she takes a job as a cook at the local bookstore café - and begins to explore her feelings for the island sheriff, Zack Todd.

But there is a part of herself she can never reveal to him - for she must continue to guard her secrets if she wants to keep the past at bay. One careless word, one misplaced confidence, and the new life she's so carefully created could shatter completely.

Just as Nell starts to wonder if she'll ever be able to break free of her fear, she realizes that the island suffers from a terrible curse - one that can only be broken by the descendants of the Three Sisters, the witches who settled the island back in 1692.

Now, with the help of two other strong, gifted women - and the nightmares of the past haunting her every step - she must find the power to save her home, her love...and herself.

One of Norah robert’s best

Great story with lots of suspense. Easy to visualize the small town color and atmosphere.

Couldn't wait to finish

Loved the story, but the narration was somewhere between a Disney princess and June Cleaver telling the story. This doesn't bode well for the sexy scenes. I really couldn't wait to finish and move on to the next. Unfortunately, if it is the same narrator, I won't be purchasing.

Very touching story of survival

I loved how “Nell” was able to escape and overcome an abusive marriage and find herself and learn to love again.

Lets stand together!

Nell makes you want to get out there and stand up for a cause - the book makes you want to move to a little island and find the solitude and friendlyness that might be waiting for you.

Having read this and the 2 others in the trilogy you feel as if becoming more in tune with nature and it's elements is something you really need to be doing - if only we could escape to this!

very well written and extremely well read! catches you from the word go!

Dance Upon the Air

Nora Roberts does it again. I could not quit lustening, took my fire everywhere in the hoses and car with me so I could hear it .
