Publisher's summary

Sheltered preacher's daughter Haley Foster ran away from her small town to do all the "bad" things she'd never done. She soon found herself in a hotel room with U.S. Marshal Kevin Harmon. But her knight in shining armor showed no interest in teaching a disappointed Haley Lovemaking 101....

Kevin had every interest in teaching the bold, beautiful virgin in front of him a few lessons in love. But his integrity - and a deep-rooted fear of commitmen - kept him in check. Then an unexpected road trip with eager Haley put his resolve to the test. And soon they were both on a wild journey of discovery and setting a new course - for love.

slow, inane, and unbelievable

I gave this selection a long time to get to "the good part". It never happened. The main characters are completely ridiculous. The author tried, I think, to turn the story into a modern "Prince Charming saves Damsel in Distress" but did not succeed. The only slightly redeeming element was that the narrator made a valiant effort to turn the dialogue into something resembling reality. Nobody could have made this story anything other than a waste of time.

Stupid and Cheesy

No virgin stories-- ever!!!!! No 25 yr old stupid female leads ever again! The only save for this story was T Plummer's excellent narration. Aside from that, absolutely horrible. I didn't even get through 2 chapters.

Great narrator horrible story and role model. Why would you write such mealy mouthed words for woman or girls to read? Stand up!

Not my favorite

This book wasn???t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This may work for others as a book for the beach, but that's about all

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan Mallery again?

Certainly not a romance book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Therese Plummer?

The narrator was fine. It was the story content that was so silly.

You didn???t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Sweet, but more saccharine than sugar

I love Susan Mallery, but this is one book I could have missed and not missed at all. I didn't particularly care for Haley, though her growth in strength was interesting. But really, she's not someone I would ever find in my social circle unless she was a relative. A little too innocent. But maybe I'm just jaded. :)

My First Audible Review

What would have made Completely Smitten better?

Please read the reviews before you buy this book. I have purchased 225 books from Audible and this is the first time I have felt the need to write a review. Save your money. This is the worst book I have ever read. In a nutshell it is one long, long, long description of a sheltered, innocent preacher's daughter who discovers the opposite sex...at the age of 25. There is no story line,i t is a ridiculous drawn out crush between two people, with hour after hour of description of body parts; in jeans, in dresses, in skirts, sitting, lying down-wanting to kiss, not wanting to kiss... I could not make it to even the middle of this book. This read is for a young 13 year old girl. Seriously Completely Smitten is completely boring.

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan Mallery again?

NEVER!

What three words best describe Therese Plummer’s performance?

The reader is fine...except she should not try to imitate a man's southern drawl. She should just read his lines.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger-it is so bad.
