Once, they were Navy SEALS. Now they are the Alpha Pack: A top-secret team of wolf shifters with Psy powers who take on the darkest dangers on Earth. But sometimes the greatest danger lies within their own hearts.… Healer and black wolf shifter Zander Cole has survived horrors that would have broken a weaker man. But when a battle leaves him deaf and his powers dimmed, Zan is devastated. Believing himself to be a burden to his team, he sees only one option: Leave the Pack forever.
White wolf shifter Selene Westfall knows pain - she is certain her father was responsible for her mother's death. And she lives to exact revenge. So when she is challenged by a savage black wolf, she puts up a vicious fight - only to become the black wolf's Bondmate as a result of his bite.
Two damaged souls - one filled with hatred and one who's lost his reason for living - are forced together as they come to terms with their unlikely, turbulent bond. A love neither expected may be all that stands between them and a killer trying desperately to keep the past dead and buried.

I love the Alpha Pack! I hadn't given Zander much thought in previous books, but, what a sweetie he turned out to be! Zander finds his mate through a very different manner than the previous pack members, which was a nice change. Some other new aspects to the series included the introduction of a few new characters that are interesting enough to possibly have a book in the future--fingers crossed! Also, I like where things seem to be heading for Nick, who plays a significant role in this installment.
If you haven't listened to the other books, I'd encourage you to do so--books 1 & 2 remain my favorites, with book 3 really being an emotional whirlwind. Nonetheless, all the stories are great and are worthy of a credit. I had a lukewarm reaction to book 4, so I'm really glad this installment was significantly better than the last. Great series, great author, and hopefully there's many more to come.
I'm a lover of books, both read and audible.
OMG, I loved this book. Let me just start by saying I literally cried the entire last two chapters. I’m not talking one or two tears, I mean nose running, puffy cheeks, red eyes crying. That is what makes me really love a book, when I become so emotional about the characters that I feel as if I’m a part of the story. Ok let me start from the beginning. Zander Cole is a wolf shifter that is part of a top secrect military organization known as the Alpha Pack. He is also a healer. During one of their battles, Zan lost most of his hearing and can no longer heal his teammates without causing significant damage to himself. That doesn’t stop him for doing it anyway because that is who the man is. Selene Westfall is a born wolf shifter and Alpha Packs commander’s daughter. But father and daughter have serious issues. Actually Selene blames her dad for her mother’s death and feels as if he needs to die because of it. Because of a bite in the heat of battle, Zander and Selene are now mates. Two broken souls, force to deal with their issues and make something work that neither expected.
Did I mention that I love this book already? Zander is a tough, caring, passionate male. He offers just the right amount of dominance without being overbearing. Selene is a sassy, tough, alpha female that is damage on the inside and just wants to be her daddy’s babygirl again. But first you have to get pass the mean as nail exterior. I felt as if the characters had to work for their relationship in this book. At the beginning neither wanted the other one, but they continued to work at their relationship and support each other. Their relationship was sweet and bitter, beautiful and gut wrenching at times and I enjoyed every freaking minute of it. Of course, the smex scenes were outstanding. Let’s just say, glass doors are fantastic.

It ranks up there…. Usually I rank a book by how many times I have listen to it. Even though I thought this book was great, I can't seem to go back for seconds. I thought I was pretty paranormal savvy, this book left me thinking…What the h*ll. I mean one of our heroes being violated by a vampire.
Even I loved Zander and Selene as a couple. I enjoyed the way they found each other, I like the fact they brought out the best in each other. It was the stuff going on in the backgound that's got me not knowing what to feel about this book.
Ms. Potter does an excellent job as always. I thought she bought to life what the characters were going through. I don't think I would have experienced the emotion, if I had just read the book.
.........EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Ok.. so Nick's book has to be next... I totally love the direction this book went...
I though for sure this book was gonna be about Nick's mate since he is a white wolf.... but I get it... The white wolf from book 4 was Nick's daughter....
I love that fact that Zander got himself a mate... Now since Nick's bloodline is immortal and that means his daughter is immortal, now that she is mated to Zander, he will become immortal...and no more dying from the healing...
Zander is just now recovering from his last healing session which almost killed him...
The chemistry between Zander and his mate builds quickly as thier bond happened quickly from Zander biting her.... I get it...but they seem to fall in love totally in like one chapter... More of a relationship build would have been nice, but it didn't take away from the story at all.
The smexy was great! Loved this book, love this series..!!!
And love that fact that NICK has found his BOND MATE!!!
Oh, I have to mention the torture scene when Nick and Zander are trapped by the bad guy... OMG! I was crying for Nick...real tears... From that scene and the epilogue we know that Nick's bond mate is a vampire, but he can never claim her because of what happen to him... OMG!!! I cannot wait for the next book...
Awesome job J.D. Tyler... Awesome!
Narration was perfect...Please keep Potter for the entire series... is was awesome...So close to a 5-star.... This was more like a 4.5-star...
As I sat staring at a blinking cursor waiting for some sort of inspiration to strike so I could write this review I just didn't know where to begin..... should it be the exciting, acton-packed, emotional roller coaster plot with it's twists and turns, or perhaps the H/H's tortured pain filled minds, maybe the array of interesting, gifted and hot ex Navy Seals (now sexy Special Ops Alpha Shape-shifters with Psy abilities). Or should it be the sudden claiming and the mate-bond which results in a touching, tender, passionate romance with hot sex. Then there were the sub plots, the evil Rogue Vampires, the shocking revelations and lots of heartbreaking drama which were gripping, raw, tragic, intense and had some NO NO NO, WT*, HOLY SH*T and OMG moments. Where oh where to start? or maybe just finish with.....
Bottom line.... great paranormal world-building, enjoyable, entertaining and captivating story which has both humor and tragedy, a wealth of secondary characters, a loveable damaged Hero and a Heroine seeking revenge and some hot n heavy sex.
Worth a credit? YES and a great addition to an awesome PNR series and hopefully JD Tyler is busy writing more thrilling books about the Alpha Pack heroes.
I hope there are more books to come. I loved this one as much as the others. Great series.
The continuation of all of their stores.
Give me water to swim and surf in. That with a glass of white wine and the sun. That's heaven.
I have to say Cole's Redemption ranks in the top 20 of all my audiobooks.
Zander because he is a person who gives 150% to everything he cares about, not just what is needed.
Kirsten Potters performance gives a nice experience.
When Zander's brain stopped and I wondered what would happen next.
I absolutely loved this book. It was great from beginning to end. Loved Zan and Selene. Loved seeing Nick, Jax, Aric, Ryon, etc..
Loved the story, there's never a dull moment. Wonderful love story and wonderful sex, too. I can't wait for the next book.
As to the narrator: Kirsten Potter has a nice voice and I do love her reading but I think she needs to try harder at making the men sound like men. That's my only complaint.
