Critic reviews

"If you're looking for some sexy summer listens, you'll want to check out the new audiobook series, Krinar Chronicles. Author Anna Zaires brings you a kind of 50 Shades of Grey meets Star Trek tale..." ( Marie Claire)
"For diehard fans of the paranormal romance genre, author Anna Zaires's risqué new audiobook could be your next guilty pleasure. Zaires's most recent read, Close Liaisons, combines a love story with science fiction in the tale of Mia, an unassuming college student whose life gets suddenly entangled in a dangerous, otherworldly affair." ( Woman's Day)

Love this series!

First, I love this series. I truly wish that the author would write something that happens after the end of this story, maybe something about their children and the empire that was talked about. Either way, Mia and Korum's story is amazing and I love the fact that you get to learn so much about both characters, their family's and their pasts. I also really enjoyed reading about Krina, the things that exist there, and the journey that they went on. The only thing about this story that I didn't like was, Saret. I mean, what a bonehead. What he tried to do to Mia and Korum, or rather what he actually did, was just tragic, not to mention his 'grand' plans for both races. I mean, he had some seriously demented ideas, and he actually thought she would understand it, even like it. He was nuttier than a jar of Jif Extra Chucky Peanut Butter. Anywho, the author did an amazing job.

Third book third narrator a little disappointed

I really like these books. The story is great, angsty. I love an alpha male but it's the third narrator and that just throws me off. The whole point of audio to me is having the narrator bring the story to life. And I like getting used to my H & h voices or sounds. And it drives me nutz when there are different narrators because they each read differently and put different inflections on words. I would much rather read the trilogy then listen to 3 different people read the 3 separate books.

Not with a bang, but a whimper...

The development of Mia kind of worked for me, but Korum felt very one dimentional, and the love scenes were dull. There were some interesting tangential story lines in this one but I think the affair is over, it seemed like the author lost interest in the story and it felt kind of flat. "Close Remembrance" is closer to forgettable.

Wonderful ending

What did you love best about Close Remembrance?

EVERYTHING! It was amazing! There was so much going on and a couple of things I didn't see coming it was great.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Close Remembrance?

The ending, not going spoil it but when they find out something amazing during a very important event.

What about Emily Durante’s performance did you like?

I enjoy her narration and the way she brings the characters to life.

Any additional comments?

This series was great, i've read aliens and vampires but never alien vampires (though the focus is more on the Krinar being alien rather than vampires) it was so much fun to see the ups and downs of Mia and Korum and how their relationship develops and stays strong through different hardships and how they get their happy ever after.

This is a completely different H... Almost too nice! There are a few twists and turns and I did like how it all played out. The ending was definitely rushed... kinda like a Hallmark! There is still tons of sex and the H gets a bit dirtier!

WHOA!! WHAT AN ENDING! LOVED IT!

This is the first sci-fi, alien/human romance I have read…like ever. And, this series did not necessarily push me in the direction of other alien romances, but more so, it put Anna Zaires on my authors' radar list. She did a fantastic job in capturing the emotional and triumphant progress of such an interesting and unique romance as of that of Korum and Mia.

In this book, all loose ends, struggles and issues from previous books are brought forward and resolved in a fabulous manner. There is nothing that is left without a resolution and I really appreciated that in this series, and that is why I so loved this book.

Both Mia and Korum's relationship becomes even more grounded and catapults into an epic, legendary romance that really changed and moved both their societies and worlds, alike. Anna Zaires could have kept their story moving forward, but it's nice when an author knows when to stop as well.

In this book there are beautiful, sentimental moments between Korum and Mia. Mia's personality, gifts and worth push themselves to centerfold as she reaches new heights in her value and position in Krinar society. GO MIA!!! I was impressed at how Korum is represented as such a powerful lead. He never loses momentum, is rarely caught off guard, protects Mia at all costs, and is so intelligent that he's typically one step ahead of everyone else. There is nothing this man will not do for Mia. His love is insatiable, powerful, and gives a "forever" type of romance a whole new meaning. Both Mia and Korum's love will be added to my list of "favorites." I will regularly revisit this audiobook series…that's how much I really liked it.

Narrator: Emily Durante must have been good or at least decent because again…I was more focused on the details in this fantastic ending and not so much on the narration…I know weird, but what can I say??? Loved this series!!!

Can I have a side dish of plot with the Sex?

Good Grief! I don't think I would ever come across a series that has too much sex it in, but this trilogy sure does. There is so much sex I feel like I need to take a pregnancy test! Too much sex can be a bad thing, if there is too much fornication it loses its appeal and it becomes nothing special and a very mundane act. The over abundance of sex was just too distracting for the minimal plot, this really only should have been one book instead of 3....but there is so much sex that it became a trilogy ( TA-DA). This last book was also a recap of Korum and Mia's differences from the first book. So if you are just in the mood to watch mindless Lorno on HBO or late night Skinamax on TV then this series is for you. For me I like the plot to be the main dish and the sex a side dish or dessert....and this stew needs more meat in it.
