Publisher's summary

Seth Quinn is finally home....

It's been a long journey. After a harrowing boyhood with his drug-addicted mother, he'd been taken in by the Quinn family, growing up with three older brothers who'd watched over him with love.

Now a grown man returning from Europe as a successful painter, Seth is settling down on Maryland's Eastern Shore, surrounded once again by Cam, Ethan, and Phillip, their wives and children - all the blessed chaos of the extended Quinn clan. Finally, he's back in the little blue-and-white house where there's always a boat at the dock, a rocker on the porch, and a dog in the yard.

Still, a lot has changed in St. Christopher since he's been gone - and the most intriguing change of all is the presence of Dru Whitcomb Banks. A city girl who has opened a florist shop in this seaside town, she craves independence and the challenge of establishing herself without the influence of her wealthy connections. In Seth, she sees another kind of challenge - a challenge she can't resist.

But storms are brewing that are about to put their relationship to the test. Dru's past has made her sensitive to deception and slow to trust. And Seth's past has made him a target of blackmail - as a secret he's kept hidden for years threatens to explode, destroying his new life and his new love.

Critic reviews

"[Roberts has] once again crafted a poignant and often humorous tale. True to style, she has also thrown in just enough of the paranormal to tantalize. Guaranteed to please the many fans who were waiting for Seth's story." ( Library Journal)
"James Daniels's voice conveys convincing female desire, as well as rough male camaraderie, and singes the listener's ears with Roberts's trademark passion." ( AudioFile)

great

All four books were so good, I had a very difficult time stopping to do anything else. I loved the detail. #4 started out not interesting but because I wanted to find out about Seth, I kept on listening. Before long I was hooked. Thank you

Enjoyable and comforting

I loved listening to this story of family bonds and community. the three previous books in this delightful series were fabulous reads as well. The Quinn brothers, their wives, and children are characters who will make you laugh and will steal your heart! Most definitely a feel good, heart warming story of romance and family loyalty. You will probably love every minute you spend listening to all four of these wonderful books! I certainly did!

Very enjoyable and emotional series

I really loved these books. Couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next and loved each character in this series.
I have laughed and cried with this evergrowing family.
The narrator was very good and at times thought I was really in the moment as part as this family. highly recommend

Nice Ending

I really liked all the books in this series however the narration left something to be desired. Couldn't tell the difference between the characters and the narrator added some funky accent, which since the location was eastern seaboard, it didn't seem applicable and just further annoyed.

Seth is my favorite Quinn brother

I love this story about Seth so much that it would be hard for anything to decrease my enjoyment. I agree with other comments that the accents are a bit off but it wasn't enough to ruin the audiobook for me. Other than the incongruous accents I enjoyed the book very much.
