Greg Cage was born to protect. While growing up, he was his mother and sister's shield against the world... until he failed. For the last decade, he has carried that guilt and need for vengeance around. Now, with his best friend getting married and no longer needing his protection, he is even more lost, completely adrift, and desperate for some control. Melissa Larson will never let anyone hold the reins in her life. She has been the rock in her family for more years than she can remember, and the fight to keep them together is her main priority right now. Abby and Sean do a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life.
When Greg calls Breaker and tells him Breakneck.
They also narrated Axel and both were done fantastically!
Yes, but didn't have enough time to sit and listen to the whole book in one sitting.
I've read all of Harper Sloan's book. Can't wait to revisit Greg and Melissa in Uncaged.
Actually no. I fell in love with Greg Cage in the print version but, the audio version is amazing. Hearing him come to life caused a few shivers!!!
Cohen hands down. He melted my heart, made me laugh until I cried and made me want to fight ninjas.
Texture, vividness and substance. Having both a female and male narrator is great, I thought they were great.
Yes, and I did. And then I went back and listened to my favorite parts again.
Big overprotective, big hearted alpha male...sign me up.
Love listening to audio books.
This book is a romantic and some erotic, but love of hot Alpha men that know it. I found out about this author last year and cannot stop listening to her series. There is a lot of action, humor, drama and the story gets better.
When the past comes back to haunt you and ties you to your heart dream woman. Cage has a past and that past is going to take Melissa for a ride. These two have no idea that some pasts do come back to haunt you. When Cage has lost his sister to a vicious man while he was serving his country unable to protect her. Now that he is back he is on a mission to vengeance but his past has a way of showing him more. Melissa has lost a sister as well, but has a nephew, the only thing of her sister she has left. With a mother trying to help raise him and working to avoid relationships all together. Cage comes barreling in to save the day, but when their fated paths collide, he may need the real saving.
Love love love this book, she can really add life to the characters and adds just enough humor and drama.
Crazy, alpha, sexy.
The entire story/series was amazing. Cage & Melissa were perfect and again, who doesn't like suspense, drama, brooding alpha males who fall in love and, oh yeah, let us not forget, in this story, the piercings that brought us to ecstasy along with Melissa.
Yes, in this series.
This series is over-the-top sexy. I would recommend this story along with the other two books to anyone interested in this genre. I greatly appreciate the honest and extensive reviews that were given by those who listened to it before me otherwise I might have missed out. Thanks ladies.
Could he possibly get any hotter! Compassionate and a whole lot of sexy with bad ass only when necessary! These men are so alpha! Fantastic story with not just hot sex but a mixture of emotions! It has you fanning yourself and laughing with just a small amount of sadness! Perfect story, loved it!
Mother. Teacher. Wife. Blogger. Reader.
I love when everything comes together for the greater good of mankind.......in this case, for me! This book was sexy, hot with just the right amount to angst. The narration was flawless and I like the voices. The story line, did NOT make me roll my eyes ONCE! Which = keeper!
Greg was so freaking awesome in the first book that it was really cool to see him find his happy.
Rescue scene was awesome
Just when you think he's so hard he's untouchable....
Abby and Sean bring the characters to life.
Cage's reaction to Meli's nephew.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
These Corps Security guys are all hot, sexy, tattooed Alpha types and Cage had the added advantage of 'below the waist' piercings too. He's a good friend, loyal and protective and all this, and much much more, comes out when he meets Melissa because their chemistry turns straight into lust.... quickly followed by passion and lots of sex. They both have tragedy in their pasts which brings them closer together but Cage kept secrets and guilt that he should've shared with Melissa from the start which nearly blew them apart.
It was a great story with heartache from the past, heartache and murder in the present, a mad and bitter ex, entertaining secondary characters, there was humor, a sweet 3 yr old boy and two strong and sensible main characters who loved, supported and understood each other. However, there was angst and suspense too and Cage had to put in a call for help from his old MC buddy who dealt with the situation his way!
My only negative was the ending which I found a bit choppy with a Bonus Chapter that I think should have been put in the last few chapters. Then there's a Deleted Scene and finally the Epilogue. It was a bit weird but it didn't spoil the listen at all.
Dual POV's and both narrators did a great job with the all the characters and the many emotions called for.
Worth a credit? This is a series that I'll gladly listen to until it ends...... so YUP, IMHO, Harper Sloan is a very creditworthy author.
This chapter of the Corps series is a better story than the first. It even includes some drama and action, along the way. The novel is still too short, for my taste but, at least, there is a novella to complete this story. ( Uncaged) Therefore, I'm moving to book 3.

"A beast of a book"
Really enjoyed this book, so much better than the first book. Beauty and the beast fit really well together. The story was better read this time.
