I owe him a debt. A big one. The payment can't be settled with money or favors.
He only wants one thing. Me.
Every action gets a reward. A button. Once I fill his jar with 365 buttons, he'll let me go. He'll let me walk away. But I have to earn every single one. By submitting to the darkest, cruelest, and most beautiful man I've ever known.
Trigger warning: There are some dark and disturbing scenes of abuse and punishment.

Well of course it does because this book deliberately leaves you hanging...disappointing
I would not have bought this book had I not known I would have to buy another book (or more) to finish the story
This was a horrible thing that happened to the young Lady. Please be careful, it could happy to anyone at anttime. The Betrayal of her boyfriend.
I love this book it was great it had pain and love and sadness and fighting. Both characters have problems but they are the same in lore ways then they know. I can't wait for the next book.
I just have to roll my eyes and say 'really' when someone writes in a review that a fiction book was not realistic...come on now 'really'
Pearl is kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. A cruel and sadistic monster, named Bones, buys her because he likes that she's fiesty and looks forward to breaking her. Here are examples of the violence she suffers from Bones: tie her down with painful ropes and fuc* her in the a** again and again to the point of her being barely concious and bleeding. He liked to play hide-n-seek and when he found her he liked to beat her with a bat until she passed out. Tie her up and whip her until bleeding. If you can get thru the part with Bones the rest of the book is good.
Crow and Bones are rivals. Crow and his brother Cain steal Pearl from Bones with the intent to rape and beat her and then return her to Bones. Crow instead decides to keep her for himself. Crow is a dominent and has a play room but he doesn't get off on causing pain like Bones.
This is the first book in the series and does have a to-be-continued ending. Looking forward to the next book.
My first book by Penololpe Sky and I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
Michael Ferraiuolo and Samantha Cook give a captivating performance.
Absolutely worth a credit/$$
I really don't know how to react, because I also feel guilty for liking the story, it is subversive and crude at times, but it kept me hooked, (no pun intended), this is not 50 shades in many ways but it is in some, the description of their body's is crude, the dominant is there with Crow, but with Bones is actually cruel and offensive because his character is not of a dominant but very twisted and more ways frightening guy because unfortunately what this men does, it very well happens to women , children and men , and there to be stopped, with Crow's character he is in the kinky sex but I don't see him as Bones but more like 50 because he is torn and confused about his feelings for Pearl not necessarily about the sex but with her, I know that this type of sex exist and physically is not for me but it is interesting to read about and get exited in a way, so do pray for the souls of trafficked people and put those people in jail , but don't condone what other adult do if "is consensual ", and yes I will buy the other books and if you can handled Bones with and get by the rest of the sort is actually good.
loved it. listening was kinda difficult but it was good, maybe due to the fact that I didn't really know when the person was actually speaking. but good none the less

I did not think I would like this book because of the violent content however this has turned out to be a real keeper. This story is very well written and narrated which allowed me to fall in love with Crow. This was a pleasant surprise. I can't wait for book two.
