You can design a perfect life, then a woman comes along and messes it all up!
Prescott Chance is the go-to architect for the wealthy and famous, which has made him more wealthy and famous than he's ever wanted to be. He turns down more commissions than he accepts and is extremely private.
Holly Legere is barely making ends meet between rent and student loans. As an assistant to Alistair Rupert, the notoriously difficult industrialist, she works night and day for slave wages, hanging on in hopes of a promised promotion in his huge organization. When Alistair Rupert's wife decides she wants a Prescott Chance-designed house, and Prescott turns her down, it's Holly's job to make the choosy architect change his mind. And Holly is a very determined woman. In this modern romantic comedy, she'll go to any lengths to get him to design her boss a house, including pulling in his huge family for support.
This is the third book in the Take a Chance series, though the books stand alone.

I do like the Chance siblings and want to read about the rest of them.
Prescott has isolationist and trust issues. I greatly disliked him more as the book went on. His artistic eccentrics were fine but his attitude toward women leave much to be desired. He expounds how much he only likes sleek, orderly, and uncomplicated women. Holly has none of these traits. She is not the model, thin, rich, and well dressed woman he usually dates.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
Holly Legere is in debt for student loans (this is mentioned about 50 times!) She has landed a job with Alastair Rupert. She is his personal assistant, expected to be on call whenever needed. However, if she can hang on, meet the demands of he and his wife, resisting the urge to quit, she is more than guaranteed a promotion in his large company (paying receiving a huge pay increase.)
Prescott Chance is one of 11 siblings, the offspring of Jack and Daphne Chance. They have raised their 11 offspring (some by blood, some by adoption.) Prescott is a back to the basics architect. He is completely off the grid and unplugged. His success and wealth are far more than he cares to have. However, it affords him the opportunity to work on projects that he wants to work on because he wants to, not because he has to.
Holly and Prescott meet when Holly tries to talk him into building a home for Alastair Rupert's wife. Prescott has turned the consignment down and has no desire to change his mind. Holly MUST talk him into building the home or face losing her job (and defaulting on her student loans)
I may have said it before, but it bears repeating. Terry Schnaubelt chooses wonderful books to narrate. Her narration/performance is always spot on, this series is no exception. Real and believable, Schnaubelt is able to make the book come alive.
Notes: A few descriptions of intimacy
