Publisher's summary

The follow-up to the runaway best sellers On Dublin Street and Down London Road

Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex - usually, she can't get up the nerve to approach guys she's interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it's time to push past her fears and go after what she wants.

Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he's as loyal as they come. So when Olivia turns to him with her relationship woes, he offers to instruct her in the art of flirting and to help her become more sexually confident.

The friendly education in seduction soon grows into an intense and hot romance. But then Nate's past and commitment issues rear their ugly heads, and Olivia is left brokenhearted. When Nate realizes he's made the biggest mistake of his life, he will have to work harder than he ever has before to entice his best friend into falling back in love with him - or he may lose her forever…

Great Friends with Benefits story

What did you like best about this story?

Aside from the steamy sex scenes, the author does a great job of capturing Liv and Nate's vulnerabilities.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

After tattoo...

Any additional comments?

Have not been disappointed with this author. I hope she writes about the other streets of Edinburgh!

My favorite in this series

What did you love best about Before Jamaica Lane?

I really loved this book in the series, all because of the storyline. I'm a sucker for romances where they're friends first. I also love a bit (or a lot) of angst, and this book did not disappoint in that respect, either.

What about Lee Angel’s performance did you like?

I thought Lee did a good job. Her Scottish accent isn't as natural-sounding as the other women who narrate for the other books in the series. There are times the accent sounds more middle eastern than Scottish, and it did bother me a bit at first, but I got used to it and just enjoyed the story and performance.

Any additional comments?

I really love most of this series (not a big fan of Down London Road) and think the author does a great job. Can't wait for Hannah's book to come out!

Loved it.

This was a great book. I Loved "On Dublin Street" and it is still my favorite, with this book coming in a very close 2nd. The narration was also very good. I hope to see more books about these friends from Samantha Young!

i love it

I love the whole series. But of all the books in the series, this is my favorite. Probably the first book is everyone's favorite, but I identified so much with Olivia. With all her fears and insecurities, and yet she is strong enough to deal with it.

The Best One Yet!

I absolutely love the series. I honestly can't wait for the next installment. While I liked all the books in the series, this was my favorite. Being friends first and having that friendship turn into a special kind of love was wonderful to listen to. The supporting characters just made the story that more enjoyable. I really recommend this book. You definitely won't be disappointed.

Great story… The reader, not so much…

The woman who read the story is a good reader but cannot read with a Scottish accent for anything. It sounds like all of Scotland's people are plagued with breathing challenges when they speak.
