Publisher's Summary

Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon's moved to New York City and is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night's fun. But the manner - and speed - with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows that Max Stella loves women, not that he's ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad-boy charm, it's not until Sara - and the wild photos she lets him take of her - that he starts wondering if there's someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

"I am a sucker for a man with an accent......."

Who is this Jonathan Cole and where can I find one of him????? The book was okay....to me not as good as "Beautiful Bastard" but okay. What added an extra kick to this book was Jonathan Cole and his accent that seemed to comfort me every time he spoke.....Heck if I know what he was saying, but good grief man his voice was sexy as all heck. I would be VERY disappointed if his accent is not real!!! I would listen to the book again, but I would be lying if I said it was for the plot! I wonder if there is a narration where the talented Mr. Cole does nothing but talk....no reading, just talking :) That would definitely make my day!!!

"Runs a close second to Beautiful Bastard..."

I think, because it is number two of the series. I love Max. He is such a caring character and loves Sarah so much. Great love story.

    "Super Sexy Male Narrator"
What made the experience of listening to Beautiful Stranger the most enjoyable?

This book is a standout among the many I've listened to. One of my favs. I love that there are two narrators though you should know that the female narrator still does a male voice for her chapters, The narrators don't really interact, just go back and forth based on the view point of the chapter.

What about Grace Grant and Jonathan R. Cole ’s performance did you like?

It was a great paring. I wish Jonathan Cole has other books he narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    you bet

    "Review: Beautiful Stranger"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I AM recommending this book to all my book buddies and friends...Why? Because it is a riot. It's funny, the sex scenes are off the wall crazy, and the main guy is British.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that Max was NOT the playboy he was misunderstood to be. I liked that the girl kept screwing up for once, albeit very gracefully. I liked that Max understood Sara better than she understood herself.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The scene in Sara's apartment. Too much more would be spoilers, but, the events of that evening were my happy point in the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I almost did listen in one sitting. Yes - The things Maz & sara did to defile New York City were AwEsOmE!!!

    Any additional comments?

I had a hard time at first dealing with the British accent. I'm from there, and do not find that North of an accent particularly sexy. Well, I didn't. Honestly, Max's personality completely overrode by snobbery :-D The accent Grace Grant does for Max took some getting used to, but after hearing the "real" thing out of Jonathan Cole's mouth it got easier to listen to. The story flowed so well though that this is a minor, MINOR complaint.

Would you try another book from Christina Lauren and/or Grace Grant and Jonathan R. Cole ?

No, I definitely wouldn't read another book from this author.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something with some more substance and a plot.

What character would you cut from Beautiful Stranger?

Max - what an unlikable, creepy, slimy, one-dimensional misogynist.

    Any additional comments?

I was waiting for a story line to commence for the entire book, but it was shallow and very weak. There were hints at some plot, although they didn't lead anywhere. Very disappointing.

    "Well Done!"

Great writing, funny and truly entertaining. Not everybody can handle the English accents, but here, they are the icing on a very tasty cake. Remarkable sequel to BB. Well worth the credit.

    "Love, Love, Love!!"

I was so afraid to listen to this book! I LOVE BB and listened to it several times! I was afraid that the second book wouldn't any where as good as the first, but I was wrong! I think this was even better than the first! Both of the narrators did a great job.

I wanted more of the Chloe and Bennett story, but am so glad that this was Sarah's story. I love the books that tell the story from both sides. Even though you hear Maxx's side I didn't see him totally until the last 5 mins of the book, which was probably the point :).

If you read Beautiful Bastard, you MUST read this one! If you haven't read Beautiful Bastard, go buy it right now and then come back and buy this one! Worth your credit!!

    "decent, but not erotica"
    Any additional comments?

I bought this because I really liked the first book in the series, beautiful bastard. I liked BB for all the sexy scenes, and decent story. this book is more story and less sexy scenes. don't get me wrong, there are quite a few sex scenes, but they weren't quite as frequent or as explicit as the first. There's more romance back story here. The story is decent, but I'm more an erotica fan than a romance reader.

also, the same person narrarates this as does the first. This was a little odd at first because Chloe and Bennett are characters in this book, so the voice that I knew as being Chloe's now belongs to someone else and refers to Chloe in the third person. That was my only complaint regarding the choice of narrator, which I got over quickly.

overall, good book with a fair amount of sex, but I'm not sure I'll get the third unless it's classified erotica.
