Lots of sex, but lacking a strong storyline
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes, if they liked fifty shades of gray and need a light 'read'. But I would warn them that it contains a lot of sex scenes and that the main character goes on and on about how hot her boyfriend is. Its sometimes a bit much. But at other times quite entertaining.
What do you think your next listen will be?
A skinwalker novel, Blood cross
Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I was impressed by Redfields interpretation and how she managed to separate the different characters.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Not in the movie theatre, but I might watch it if I saw it snapping through TV channels.

To Much Sex (yes there is such a thing!)
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Yes. The way the characters meet. There was no build up or development of the relationship. It was just a chance meeting and straight into sex. My favorite part of any book is the "foreplay" of the characters into their relationship and that is definately missing in this story. This book also has a very young character who was raped over and ove and it seem a little unrealistic that she would feel so comfortable about sex with a dominate man. I just couldn't buy in to the story, plus I got bored with the sex and nothing in between besides a location change.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I'm going back to my favorite erotic author - Megan Heart.
Which scene was your favorite?
I did really enjoy the scene when the main character walks in on her roommate in a multi-partner party. It just made me laugh out loud.

Decide not to listen to or read the second book in the series.

The reader of this book was good, but I was disappointed in the stroy overall. I just expected more development. Granted the sex scenes are well written and provocative but theres just no relationship between the characters to back it up.

Sylvia Day is a consummate storyteller who weaves a wonderful tale that captivates and enthralls from start to finish. I didn't want to stop. Didn't want any distractions to interrupt the telling as Gideon and Ava fall in lust and grow closer despite themselves...

Lots of sex, a little short on romance
If you are looking for lots of hot sex where the characters fall in "love" (lust) quickly, this is your book! Don't get me wrong, the sex in the first half of the book was awesome but by the second half I was kind of over it. I fast forwarded the last few sex scenes to get back to the unfolding of story of the two main characters connecting and found it somewhat weak and and lacking.
To be fair, I listen to a lot of romance novels and prefer a real emotional connection between the main characters in "love" mixed in with the hot sex. In this book I felt that amazing sex passed for love.

Full of drama
Well it is an exciting book, and the narrator does a pretty good job. The story is just straight drama. if you take out the erotic bits, it's nothing but triggered people and their issues. It's fine in moderation.
