Steamy but...
Initially I was enjoying this book and the steamy parts were great but then after a while I realized the male character just uses sex as a weapon and the female character just takes it and I lost respect for her.

We're all a little crazy <br />

Captivating!!
Audible Review: While I do think this narrator is good, I did struggle with her version of Gideon. I'm pretty picky about that though. It's just hard for a female to sound like a sexy male. Otherwise, I truly enjoyed her performance of this book.
Story Review: The Hero in books are what makes or breaks a story for me most of the time. Gideon is absolutely the reason why I rate this book 5 stars. I absolutely love how obsessed he was with Ava. The way the author described his reaction when he sees her for the first time had me hooked. I like that he took one look at her and knew she was a game changer for him. Especially when we find out he was emotionally untouchable before her. Does that make him perfect? No. He does a couple things I didn't like but I had no doubt of his feelings for Ava and that is what I like to read about.
I can not say the same for Ava. Granted, I am probably harder on the female roles but I have a harder time when the heroine overreacts, pushes away too much and doesn't stand up for herself when it truly counts. I felt she did all of this in this book.
These characters are definitely flawed but I do think that is why so many readers are drawn to them. Despite being frustrated with Ava, I loved reading the times when these two were doing good. I also understand the necessity of having them in disagreements to show them working out the issues and how they came back together stronger.
This will have triggers for some readers. Both main characters have been abused in their pasts and part of their struggles is dealing with the past abuse and how they support each other.
