Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the first novel in the Crossfire series - a provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon.

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds...and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...

Great Narrator!

I started this series when it first came out back in 2012/2013. Haven’t reread it since saw it on sale on audible and bought the whole series. The narrator was great!

Move over Christian...Helloooooooooo Gideon!!

Though there are many similarities between FSOG and this book, Sylvia Day knows how to spin a tale and has the editors to prove it. Ladies and gentlemen not one "OH MY" in the entire book. Both characters have their own baggage of past monsters they need to deal with and the story keeps you glued to the book to uncover their secrets. I literally couldn't put the I-pod down. While I was interested in FSOG I was in a trance with this book. I felt like a voyeur watching the weave of these to lives bind and build. I love strong male characters. I often thought "how would I react if a man like Gideon talked to me like that?" My normal response to any man with that rap would be me telling him to go pound sand, however with Gideon I would have lost my ever lovin mind as Eva did.

Jill Redfield did an excellent job at narration. Audible DO NOT CHANGE NARRATORS!!

I look forward to the next in the Crossfire series. Again.....Audible sign what ever contracts, pay off your people, do what you need to do to get the second book available on release day.

Hot, if you don't think about it too much.

This book is the most amazing sexy thing since Fifty Shades! Have fun!

Stop reading now, you'll like my review better.

So my mantra as I type this is it's just a sex book, it's just a sex book. It was written clearly to profit on Fifty, and if not, is amazing and coincidentally almost identically to it, right down to the f'ed up relationship that is extremely unhealthy. What's that? You gasp? Well, if you haven't read it, let me ask you this. If a guy took a picture of you and your room while you slept, recreated your room EXACTLY in his apartment then tells you this is your safe place to run to where he'll never follow... what would your response be? If you have read it I'm sure you either already asked that of yourself or are doing so right now.

In short, this book is easy to read. There's LOTS of sex. Dysfunctional HOT sex. And if you don't think about the fact that each of the main characters are ridiculously jealous and constantly fighting (for the makeup sex of course) and never have an actual relationship because they can't stop sexing enough to have a conversation that doesn't involve angst, then the book can be fun. It's helps that EVERYONE in the WHOLE BOOK is friggin HOT. Even the background characters.

I applaud Jill Redfield for going all out. The gasps and moans are sometimes shockingly realistic. Lucky sound editors. Winkwink.

Now that you read this, feel free to return to the first sentence. Spend a credit. Enjoy.

Very well written. Steamy without crossing lines I don't relate too.

What other book might you compare Bared to You to and why?

Sylvia Day I am not sure if she set out to top 50 Shades of Grey... But she did!If you like FSG you will love Bared to You.I feel that Bared to You is written better and overall a more developed story. Can't wait for the next one.

Which scene was your favorite?

For me it was when Eva went to Crossfire's office the first time not knowing it was him she was going to see..

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes in fact I tried but, work gets in the way.And I will listen too again!

Fifty Shades Part 4?

Would you try another book from Sylvia Day and/or Jill Redfield?

Probably not or not unless it is a book of a different genre altogether.

What could Sylvia Day have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

She could have been much more original.

What does Jill Redfield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is a very good narrator. Much much better than the person who narrates Fifty Shades.

Did Bared to You inspire you to do anything?

Yes it did but I can't say because my mother may read this.

Any additional comments?

While this book feels like a Fifty Shades rip off, it's actually more descriptive, which makes it more seducive and so, I actually liked this book better.

Better than 50 Shades

Although this story is crafted from 50 Shades which is obvious, the characters are much more vivid and colorful, the writing is much, much more mature with well constructed story lines. The erotic scenes are extremely hot. Too bad this book came out after 50 Shades. I like 'Bared To You' Sooooo much better. Worth the credit and will enjoy the next installments to the series. Hot, Hot!!!!

Not quite as good as Fifty Shades in my oppinion.

For an erotica novel this is a good book; however I know a lot of people are comparing this one to the Fifty Shades trilogy and I have reservations. Firstly, the female lead in this book is good she's got spunk, and I like that, but the male character, though he is similar to Christian Gray in Fifty Shades, I'm not sure I like him as much. I don't like his use of the word C$nt during the sex scenes, it just doesn't seem necessary . I don't know why so many erotica writers find it necessary to use that word at all. It's not sexy, and it doesn't make the sex any hotter, quite the opposite if you ask me. El James didn't use the word once in all three of her books, and the sex scenes were definitely hot. The story in this book is good, but I wasn't overly impressed. The narator did a great job.

One word "TOXIC

Let me start off by saying, I have never read the Fifty Shades of Grey series. So this won’t be a comparison of that series. I love this book; it’s like a train wreck. You know that it’s going to be gruesome, yet you can’t turn your head away from the carnage.

Eva and Gideon have a very co dependent relationship. Separate they are messed up beyond recognition but together, they actually form a working person. They way Sylivia captivities the reader and draws you into the story is simply breathtaking. The storyline is intriguing and the romance scenes, scorch your flesh (very intense).

This is the first time that I have listen to Jill narrator a story and I wasn’t disappointed. She bought a lot of life and passion to each character.
