Publisher's summary

Brenda Morrison has known Jay Santorini for years, but he's off limits. He's her friend's ex-husband, and except for one slip-up, they've always had a platonic relationship. But now that she's back in Atlanta, the smoldering attraction between them is much harder to resist.

Jay has always kept a hands-off approach to Brenda, and the time they spend together starts out innocently enough, or so he pretends. Because the truth is, Jay has feelings for her, and those feelings are anything but innocent.

just okay.

This story was okay but it did not keep my attention like the Johnson family series. Although, the narrator did a great job.

It was ok(spoiler alert)

I know this is supposed to be fantasy but come on! It was like I was reading the script of a soap opera! Jenna having twins with two different fathers but no one finds out for 10 years?!? Then Jenna waits another 2 years to tell anyone. And then Nick and Jay both being in love with Brenda and not saying anything for years then all of a sudden they both want to declare their love for her!?! Brenda's character wasn't developed enough for me to find a reason why both these men were in love with her. She was kind of pathetic. I give it a C- overall

Come on girl, why you playing hard to get..........

Come on girl, why you playing hard to get, we all know you want the D. (Lol) I understand her views on their relationship and obligation (unspoken girl code) in regards to ex's. However glad that they couldn't deny any longer. Sometimes I want to hear about the after like do they have kids and such but enjoyed this story very much and it's little twist. I like me some Michael Pauley, he narrates interesting stories.

Slow but good!

Like her other stories, this one was good once you got into the meat of it. It took a while to really get into the story so for that I only gave it four stars.

Really EXPECTED a little more from Book 3.

Unexpected Attraction: not as good as the second book. The heroine came across as a spoiled brat.
Narrator: accent sounded much like Thomas from book 2.
Wanted to finish story to see how it ended- otherwise would have quit before. chapter 4.

Wonderful (sad) longing love story bwwm Series

Love, Love, Love Delaney Diamond stories. The love struggles the lead characters make your heart ache. This story made me so sad (slightly) mad for all the lost time the lover will never get back do to selfishness of other desires. I can't wait for the next series (#4) audible version. Great story, with light action & lots of longing. MORE please..

Amazing story that packs a punch!

This is not your run of the mill romance and I loved that about it! The characters are complex with realistic flaws, and the story is wonderful, with messy situations and relationship-as is the way with love and life. It was captivating, and I was very impressed with the complexity of the story, the development of the characters and the progression of the plot! It isn't a necessarily long story, but so much happens, and none of it feels rushed. I also loved how the central issue played out in a way that highlighted different cultural perspectives on "the code," without being overt or corny. My only complaint was the narrator's Italian accent. It was a bit too much, but seemed to improve (or at least become less irritating) as the story progressed. The narrator's performance for the other characters was great and well differentiated.

Unexpected Attraction.. So much Expected

This story was a good love story about a couple who loved one another but could not act on their feelings. His ex-wife was her friend, and the two of them just could hardly be in the same room without sparks flying. Their attraction for visible to everyone including his ex.. A good story.
